Should there have been news of the new team changes for the 30th with Workington. Do we have two new riders or one. Will Cookie be in a fit mental state to carry on, or will his "injury" still be a problem, I'd like to see him, one of the best Riders this country has.

As spectators we can see all the empty track and wonder why riders aren't on it, I think it takes a bit of commitment to run around the outside............... Maybe there is none............. People aren't forced to take the sport up, they enjoy it and get paid for it, lets not forget that, as if we should take pity on them. All the bs about bike setups, have they lost the setting from last week, has the track become a different shape, is it now a different surface, has it never been wet or dry before, has someone stolen their bike and they're using another, how hard can it be to know the right gearing for a home track in different weather conditions. From what i've seen at the EWR the track is almost always good for racing, infact the away teams will concur with me. Fingers out.

So it wouldn't be a waste of time if they did it right. The Scorpions usually look like solo riders trying to get points money, sometimes at the expense of the team. Wish they'd sort themselves out, I'd like to come back and watch some live Speedway.

Walner, Nielsen, Lyager, yes i know they don't fit, I don't do the averages mathematics. Will the real Josh Bailey please stand up. I've asked before why teams don't practice more and race each other. I was at the press and practice, think it was last year, the only rider i saw giving it some beans round the outside was Thomas Jorgensen, he wasn't even in the team last year. Maybe he should be.

The wolves track has tight corners too. -
Speedway World Cup 2017

Why all the fuss, it's Tai Woffindens choice if he wants to ride in any meeting/championship that is available to him, he is undoubtedly a class act on a bike and shows the courage not to be bullied into doing something he doesn't want to. Great Britain, what's that? -

Poor from too many too often. Would be nice if Redcar raced on a weekend, i would support them instead of the Scorpions, although i havent been to many Scorpions meetings this year, wonder why? -
What Are Peoples Opinions Of These Five Legends.?
sharpandroid replied to Sidney the robin's topic in Years Gone By
Never heard of any of them and I'm 54 so they can't have been that good eh! -
Oh dear, loyalty to riders hasn't paid off, I'm quite pleased i haven't wasted my time and money going to many meetings this year, the bt coverage has kept my speedway interest instead Time for some BIG changes i think. Imagine if the quality riders we have go elsewhere next year......

Wolves V Rye House 10th July
sharpandroid replied to Beowulf's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Watched the meeting, wasn't too excited by it, the track looks like it's very hard to master, a bit tight on the corners, i can see why there is an advantage for home riders or those who know it well, this makes the racing a bit too predictable for me, as for the Poole - Belle Vue meeting, the track looked dangerously bumpy to me. -
Ha, none of you were right.

No Need For Riders Etc

It's a bit like one of those manager games you can get for the pc, great idea, maybe he could publish some virtual attendance figures, best virtual food and facilities is a must too. He'll be quite busy with that lot. -
I remember being at Sheffield when Brady Kurtz ran Ryan into the fence at turn one, i think he broke his leg and dislocated his hip, i don't think he's been the rider he can be since then, he came back from the injury and used the inside line quite a lot, when he actually used to use all the track before the injury. So yes, confidence must play a major role.

Is There A Need For Guest Riders?
sharpandroid replied to steve roberts's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Good example, Kyle Howarth riding EWR today for Scorpions, kicked their arses last week, best buddies this week, no thanks i'll stay at home. -
Is There A Need For Guest Riders?
sharpandroid replied to steve roberts's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Guest riders in a team sport where the guests are on the opposing side in other meetings is an absolutely mind boggling idea. Stupidity of the highest order. A very good reason not to attend a local "team" event when a part of the "team" may be riding against you next week. -
Wonder if Fritz will return, based on Stephans first performance i can't imagine he will.
-
Nielsen looked good at the EWR last season, just what the Scorpions need.

Would be great to see MPT at number 1, i think he would step up to the challenge.

Has Wilko ever been Number 1 at Scunthorpe, might happen this year!
