  1. Everything going BV's way regarding injuries it seems - Freddie being out pretty much hands the tie to them surely.
  2. Lucky sounds like a bit off - the lead probably and would've been more if Thorssell wasn't injured in heat 14!
  3. Belle Vue are very much favourites, we really don't have a good record at the NSS and with Masters half fit, R/R hampers us even more. Would be an upset for Wolves to progress to the final to face Swindon.
  4. Would be very disappointing if it wasn't back on TV next season, most meetings are very competitive and you get to see a lot of top riders who don't race over here anymore.
  5. Agree, I probably won't bother with a season ticket next season at Wolves which I've had for the past 2 years, there's just too many meetings with an unrealistic number of Guests and R/R. Rather pick and choose my meetings where there are actually full teams on display.
  6. Excellent season of Swedish Speedway, have really enjoyed the coverage on Premier/Free Sports this season and am glad to hear it's continuing next season too. Well done Dave for being so engaging with fans on social media during the coverage too, I think Nigel/Kelvin could take a leaf out of his book if Speedway in the UK is to enter the 21st century anytime soon! And of course, well done the Blacksmiths
  7. Very impressive from Vetlanda, have one hand on the trophy now. A shame since the Smerderna track has provided some decent racing the last few times I've watched meetings there.
  8. So we would be looking at....... Lindgren needing 15 points from 6 rides (capable of getting a max but Cook & Bjerre go well round the NSS so not expecting him to) Schlein needing 9 points from 6 rides Masters needing 6 points from 5 rides Howarth needing 5 points from 5 rides And 5 points between the reserves Would get us to the 40 point mark which is probably what we will need to win the tie overall. It's achievable but still looking tough with R/R, Masters will have to ride through the pain barrier big time which is a big ask. Not to mention that Schlein will need to infinitely better than the last time we went there as a team.
  9. Difficult to ride at times yes but what defines a ''poor'' track exactly? Riders fell off because they overdid it going into tight bends. They should've adapted like Fricke did.
  10. Yep, NSS is the best track by far in the UK but we can't all have £1million of taxpayers money!
  11. Ironically, Tungate was rubbish from a BV point of view but has basically won them the tie by (accidentally) taking out our 2nd best rider. If Masters was fit then there would be a chance for us but I can't see him scoring many with how slow he looked last night. I'm half thinking that we should have R/R for him too, would mean we could at least bring in one Guest.
  12. Broken vertebrae for Jacob, wish him a speedy recovery ahead of next season.
  13. Takes skill to ride but is always well prepared, unlike the monstrosity down at Wimbourne Road which is full of holes and non stop bouncing around the bends.
  14. Suspected Lower T12 Back Break for Thorssell so probably won't be seen again this season. R/R makes BV big favourites, especially with a half fit Masters. We only have a realistic chance if Riss and Howarth have a really good meeting.
  15. Do you know if he was on his Polish engine? Was some rumour that he was bringing it over for the playoffs.
  16. I see Monmore is a terrible track now because a few Belle Vue riders over did it around the bends. Surely they should realise that it's not the NSS and adapt accordingly? As said, not Fricke's kind of track but he was able to adapt well and didn't go blasting into the bends like you can at the NSS. Tungate on the other hand....a speed merchant with clearly very little skill when it comes to controlling the bike.
  17. Disgusting from Aces fans on facebook. Saying it "couldn't happen to a nicer bloke" than Thorssell in a sarcastic way and promising our riders loads of abuse on Wednesday. Classy bunch.
  18. I don't think for 1 minute that BV riders meant it, Mark Lemon certainly isn't that type of bloke. I just think that the likes of Tungate tried too hard and instead rode in an irresponsible manner. A perfect example of attempting to be "too quick"
  19. Theoretically there would be quite a few options on Jacob's average. All irrelevant I guess as it will be R/R anyway.
  20. Impressed with Fricke tonight on a track which doesn't really suit his style. Tungate could learn something from him....
  21. R/R unfortunately. Should be allowed a Guest when you consider how Tungate was the reason behind Thorssell's injury.
  22. Belle Vue riders been over doing it all night, perhaps too hyped up !
  23. And Bewley locks up in front of Greaves denying him a point. He didn't do a Tungate though!
  24. Looks well prepared to me unlike the track at Swindon. Takes more skill to ride though, rather than just blasting it on all the time. Clearly Tungate struggles with that concept.
  25. How many times has Tungate fell off tonight? Supposedly brought his Polish engine over.......but somebody should inform him that the tracks are slightly different over here on average to say the least!
