  1. Decent coverage/team from BT Sport since they picked up the coverage this season. Hopefully they will be taking up the coverage next season too and if we do go to fixed race nights as rumoured, it would be good if they were to show one live meeting every week on the Monday. Doesn't clash with any major sports like football etc. And the BSPA should be looking to secure the coverage deal early on this Winter and try to see if there's any interest abroad such as Poland. I'm guessing not but they should be trying. I assume Sky won't be interested again, even if the league does expand in terms of teams with Lakeside coming up and maybe somebody like Ipswich from the Championship?
  2. Belle Vue really don't come across well on social media and here - a very bitter bunch of fans with a rather vocal minority that almost seem to take delight in riders getting injured and any consequences from it. Glad Swindon won it rather than them anyway, much classier outfit.
  3. Fair enough if you do win against our patched up lineup, Swindon deserved it tonight so fair play to them. We aren't all bitter like BV fans still are about last season!
  4. How is it not interesting to see how the team will be built? They may improve it for all we know.
  5. Luck in the semi?! We had our 2 best riders injured! If anybody had the luck, it was BV with Jacob missing heat 14 and 15 at home alongside Freddie missing heat 15 away with injuries mid meeting.
  6. A few Belle Vue riders showing themselves to be bitter little children on social media tonight, no wonder they've won nothing for years!
  7. One thing for sure is that I'd run far away from Harris if I were Rye House! A rider who has had some good times over the years but is on the edge of major decline.
  8. I agree yes but something needs to be done about Guests in general as you say and frankly, R/R does not make up sufficiently for an injured rider.
  9. No better time to create the thread I think. First name on the teamsheet for me would be Greaves at no7 on a 2.5pt average. Obviously the other question will be if Freddie rides over here for another season. You would hope he will but both of his bad injuries this season have been sustained in the UK which has ultimately cost him a shot at a podium place in the GP series so I wonder if that will affect his thinking. Will Woffinden return on fixed race nights next year? Probably not but I'd like to see the club try to get him. Obviously a lot determined depending on what the points limit will be but I imagine Schlein won't be retained due to his improving average over the year. Howarth has come on leaps and bounds this year now making a solid no2. And Masters/Thorssell have been as reliable as ever but one may have to make way as both have good sized averages now. Will be interesting for sure.
  10. We do need to get rid of Guests though, it's a farce. 2 Guests in the Grand Final tonight and a R/R....just get squads in with fixed race nights and we can finally have full teams.
  11. A shame - he was our best rider tonight and has come on leaps and bounds this season.
  12. Obviously the big regret for Wolves will be failing to look around at alternative options for their Guest booking, Lambert or Nilsson would've done a lot better.
  13. Well deserved win for Swindon, not enough Wolves riders turned up on the night.
  14. Unlucky Greaves there, a 4-2 would've give us a chance as we just would've needed a winner in heat 15 (already a big ask) but now a heat advantage looks toally unlikely. Our last one was in heat 6 apparently!
  15. Surely no chance. Can't argue that Swindon deserve it anyway. Masters really should've held Morris off in heat 13 too but didn't ride the right line.
  16. Swindon looking like favourites from this point in my opinion unless Harris gets on a new bike and turns his speed around. Unlikely though.
  17. I get why the cone is there but surely we could be using a more professional tool? 😁
  18. What is that BT Camera playing at?! Two red lights now, Ref needs to get a grip.
  19. Great by Greaves trap Morris on the 1st bend who had a lot of speed.
  20. Howarth got injured in his 2nd ride and we had Max Clegg at no6 who had to take the rest of his rides, was a massive weakness. Shanes only had 2 rides for them as well. Pretty much swung it. Oh and I think they got an 8-1 from using a Tactical.
