  1. Don't think Tai will be back with Wolves next season but it's great news that Doyle will be for the next 2 years. A lot of top riders no longer ride in the EL but it doesn't seem to have done riders such as Doyle and Holder much harm......
  2. Lindgren upset about Joonas being turfed out? Poor tonight and at the last home meeting vs Lakeside.
  3. As a neutral, thought it was an enjoyable meeting to watch with some really good racing. Sat in the 'Grandstand' and was amazed by the acoustics when the riders go into the final bend. Not to mention that the quality of the facilities in general was impressive. Shall have to try the Terrace if Wolves get so far in the Playoffs.........
  4. Tempted to go to this meeting before the Wolves double header in the evening, certainly a meeting that will tell us a lot going into the playoffs.......
  5. Slightly surprising but Woffinden is in at no3 tomorrow, Masters at no5.
  6. Oh idiot off Poole, ridiculously hypocritical and can guarantee that they wouldn't be complaining if they didn't do the same thing. Their fans think they have a divine right to win this league, just like Ford does.
  7. Bringing in Woffinden is a great move, I just hope the reserves can hold their own in the Playoffs. That will be the deciding factor........
  8. Is back for Wolves, confirmed by his official website. Press & News WOFFINDEN A WOLF AGAIN! TAI Woffinden has answered a surprise birthday call from his British club Wolverhampton and is on his way back to British racing for the rest of the season! The reigning world champion celebrated his 26th birthday on Wednesday and was pleased to answer the phone to Chris Van Straaten, the man who took him into British Elite League racing in 2009. He will make an emotional return to Monmore Green for their vital clash with Lakeside on Monday week, August 22. Said Woffinden: Im in Sweden right now and it was nice of Chris to call me and wish me happy birthday but he then asked if Id be interested in going back there to help their title push for the rest of the season. Theyve had a good season so far, Ive still been following their results, and if I was going to ride again in Britain then it was always going to be for my parent club. I cant think of anybody better to ride for Chris and Pete Adams are my mates and Im pleased to go back there to try and help us win a gold medal. This is a good opportunity for me and Im really hoping its a move which will benefit both Wolverhampton and myself. Ill be giving it everything Ive got to try and help us win the league, weve got some important meetings coming up and Im looking forward to it. Wolverhampton team boss Peter Adams, who worked alongside Woffinden for three years on the Grand Prix circuit, said: This is an opportunity we simply had to take and personally Im looking forward to working with Tai again. I will say, however, that the signing of Tai still doesnt guarantee us the title. We have to work hard as a team but to have the opportunity to bring in the world champion is something we cannot refuse. We hope Tai can play his part in getting us over the line. Weve had a tremendous season so far and hopefully this will spur us on for the last push and the play-offs. I believe this is a move which any other club in the league would have made had it been possible, we are pleased to make it happen and we welcome Tai back.

  12. When your reserve has to replace your no5, you know it's time to make a change......
  13. Belle Vue for me, look strong at all positions and very capable away from home too. Think over 2 legs, they will be the favourites despite not having much of a home advantage.
  14. Disgusting performance, although Belle Vue have shown our weak spots up well - no5 and our reserves. Although no Wolf is having a good night really.......
  15. Unfortunately, it looks like our poor Reserves will cost us a chance at the title. Think our top 4 riders have been great for their positions with Joonas doing OK but not spectacular for a no5. I'd have Morris in for a starter but I know what you mean...at this late stage, not much can be done it appears. Just poor choices from the outset.
  16. I can forgive Clegg a bit but Howarth has to be replaced - simply not good enough.
  17. To say our Reserves are frustrating would be an understatement, they simply have to improve or be replaced before the playoffs start else it will stop us beating good teams like Belle Vue over 2 legs.
  18. Wolves are perhaps not as strong on paper as the likes of Poole and BV but have been impressive away from home this season and that could count for a lot when the playoffs come around......
  19. Kylmakorpi really needs to start riding like a no5.
  20. Bech needs replacing with PK or somebody else if at all possible, simply not good enough for where he is in the team order.
