Swindon 2016 - A New Era Starts...we Thought..
Ovalman replied to dump that clutch's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
When my bruv spoke to Doyley and North in Adelaide neither were keen on Rosco to be polite! Rosco like most fans is deflated by no movement on the new stadium, will he carry on as team boss, wouldn't be surprised if he walked away. -

Swindon is the bestest place to live for me...central for most places, surrounded by great countryside and some splendid village pubsand the Cotswolds, the downs, thames/Kennet and Avon canal, we have the delightful magic roundabout what more could you want. I like living in Haydon End. Recently voted 27 in best places to live, although the town centre is a bit crap. Bournemouth Poole came only 46th. Great beaches but loads of druggies misfits and shirtlifters down there. Swanage is superb though. -

Don't know how peeps can say the aces are weak at home when they have only lost one home match, to the Swindon Roobins, Christ knows how they won that! -

The Leicester crowd could be under 1000, will this be the shabby farewell meet? -

Rosco is a big Swindon Wildcats fan, so is well aware of fan/player interaction at the ice arena. With a new commercial manager and co-owners havent seen much improvement as yet, the Adver does its best to promote speed way but they have falling readership numbers. I don't think many fans were too enthused with this year's Aussie side. Can remember getting Briggos autograph in the pits, too in awe to say anything to him. -

Hardly any meetings run in March and October but they should be making an effort to run as many meetings in the school holidays to attract bigger crowds. The lad next door loves speed way but isn't allowed to attend if school next day. Very little interaction between riders and fans, especially the kids, and crowds continue to fall with no new stadium in sight. Needs drastic overhaul of Elite League I -
Probably the best match I've seen. Sir Leigh and Chrzanowski needed a 5-1 in last heat and got it. The Pole holding off schlein and Nicholls as I leapt around in the stand. I think he scored about 17 from reserve that night! A fine stadium with good views plenty of seating Good track at brandon. Far better than blunsdon.

Hopefully Joshy Tungate Wrighty and Morra have hit form at right time, but Doyley and Sedgey had bike trouble on Thursday. -

Head to the Abbey chap, loud sounds from Abba to Ac/dc, even Justin Timberlake and groovy sounds from today's hit parade -
Horrible,my mother-in-law has dementia,is in the new Abbey House near the Abbey stadium, Richardson Road, named after Lee.

Sad to hear that

Yep that's not good, the amount of work put in by these guys on a voluntary basis. Good article in this week's Star.

Quite a few riders quickly returning to pits after 5-1 wins last night, rather than go on victory lap. Good to have a chat with a couple doing the Ben Fund collection. Not as bad as the Isle of Wight, didn't see one pass there on my visit!
-
Top of BEN FUND league for last year, with a whopping £3449 donated by west-country fans, Berwick second with 2125, Poole next EL club with 1430 raised. A great cause helping wheelchair-bound ex-riders.August is Ben Fund month, please give as much as you can.

First visit for a couple of months...pretty good crowd and racing. Good to see Darcy there. Thought might be shock away win. Hard to tell that the 2 number 1s are top 2 in league. Well done Joshy. Onto Cov and need that one to boost play-off chances. Go Roobins!!!
