  1. That's the problem, no discipline, was probably hoovering, cleaning, and cooking at the Rosco household.Dont think anyone expected much from the Roobins this year, very disappointing.Don't want to see Bitch back, any from Zagar, Cookie, Holder, Kurtz, Bomber, Hansi, Killer, Masters, Janowski, Lindback, Palm Soft, Zengy. If Tunny could ride as well at Blunsdon as away would be good. It would be a new track so worth a try with him again. Swindon can attract the top riders with new stadium and more money coming through the turnstiles, should be averaging over 2000. Should be looking at the IOW, an island of 140000, and how well they promote the sport. Swindon don't have another club within 70 miles, a few million people along the M4 corridor and the counties of Wilts Oxon Glos Berks and Hants Somerset Bristol and further. Get out there and promote the sport. A decent stadium needs a decent team and decent support.
  2. Killer and Doyle would be great start. I like Zengy and Palm Toft. Josh and Morra disappointing, poor away, Tunny about the most inconsistent since Mads Korn.
  3. If they weren't moving to the new stadium crowd levels would have hit a record low, so look forward to seeing hopefully world champ Doyley and 6 others on the new track we hope and better atmosphere. The fanatical WestCountry fans deserve better than this year's poor effort. Sign Zengy again.
  4. Doyle superb, Wrighty good, the rest a disgrace, get rid of this Aussie team, would expect more fight from these macho men from Down Under. Hang ya heads in shame, not fit to clean the boots of the likes of Briggo Ashby Kilby Keener Broady et al, who rode with passion in the Robins jacket.
  5. And money back on the hubbly bubbly empties, you went home better off after climbing in! Fond memories of 60s 70s Saturday night's at The Abbey, when it was always sunny, gates of 4-10000. When local lads rode their hearts out for Swindon St.George God and the Queen...hurrah! Why would anyone queue for a bloody orrible burger. Not surprised only 400 turned up charging full whack!Hopefully 4000 will turn up for the opener at the new Rosco Arena.
  6. Gone are the Izal days...now it's Aldi Supreme at 99 pence for 15 rolls. Sad to think they will never be used again if we don't get a result at Lakey.
  7. Spoke to that Justin Sedgmen at the Crown Stratton, a splendid modest young Aussie chap. Him and Tunny have done ok this year. Only Morra hasn't really cut the mustard. Josh has struggled away, Tunny struggled at home. Doyley superb as expected, great signing of the current world number 2, to think he was reserve when the robins won the league in 2012.
  8. Pity that when the Kilbs memorial began there was a strong field watched by thousands not hundreds. He deserves better.
  9. Well done Tunny, Doyley knackered from riding in 4 leagues and GP, and Morra going backwards after his max last week, not riding enough. Good all round scoring from the Aces.
  10. Go get em Robins...if Doyley and Tunny get around 30 between em they have a slight chance, but may be left ruing that home loss to the lions.
  11. No one is going apart from yourself, possibly the final Blunsdon Abbey roar could be a whisper. At least there won't be any queues at the back straight bogs.
  12. Come on windon you can do it again in Mancland
  13. Well done to the Swindon skip, only 5 points behind Greg now.
  14. Would defo go to a few NL meetings at the new arena, good to see some local lads riding for swindon. Will next week's meeting be the Abbey finale, sneaky feeling aces won't want lakeside in playoffs and will gift swindon a point so they can return to the Abbey for semi...hmmm
  15. If 500 turned out pretty good crowd. Would definitely attend a few meetings if swindon run second team hopefully in new stadium next year.
  16. Are there remaining fixtures for this season...what size crowds are they averaging now? Good luck to the Islanders...Excellent promoting.
  17. Plenty of backup for Doyley last night...with maxes for Morra and Josh g,although tunny after his four heat wins against poole had a mare, agree its a good time for the elite league with new stadia and close battle for the title, won't shut the doom and gloom merchants up though, luckily a small minority of fans that actually attend matches.
  18. Hard to believe Lions were just 6 points behind halfway, their loss of doyley replaced by hougaard cost em this year. Their only away win coming at swindon, when Tunny scored 1, plus the other 3 home losses, may cost the robins. I can see them getting something at bv hopefully.
  19. Decent crowd and weather for what could be last meeting at the abbey, below average racing, 3 maxes for the roobins. Great news Doyley signing for another 2 years, to go with the positive news on the stadium. Things looking up for the Robins, just need to get something in Manchester or Essex. Sign that Palm Soft geezer! Good to see all riders in crowd afterwards, should be done more often. Also good to listen to centre-green interviews with Sir Don Rogers, Local Mp Thommo, and El Tel Russell.
  20. English Heritage failed to save them, and they have sadly been condemned. One last visit tonight for old time sake, it will be packed in there, an emotional moment. I heard keef and Sidney have been sectioned?
  21. Very rare for the Daffs to beat The Red Roses these days.
