  1. Are the Bird in Hand and Jolly Sailor pubs still there...nice village
  2. In Rosco We Trust.....others pay cash Was torn between the dons and robins when I moved from souf London to Swindon. The Robins won out in the end.
  3. Best Ove ive ever seen just edging it over Briggo Mauger.
  4. Swindon..Briggsy Adamsy Ashby Broady Kilby Doyley Crumpie Favs Mad Wellie Hitchy Keener Zagar Hansi Killer Steady
  5. Latest best places to live survey Swindon 27th. Boremouth/Poole at 46.
  6. Went up there today kettle toaster and microwave seem to be working along with JCB digger and Conlon van. 4 geezers mooching around in ard ats.
  7. Zummerrzet with their Swindon connection, the best team all season, west country pride. Drink up thy coiderr!!
  8. New Cross - Ackney 1963 first meeting, then they folded that year. Swindon 1968-2016 but with a 30 year break in between, with short spells following Wimbledon and Workington.
  9. I hope they have plans for new back straight bogs, with perhaps retro fittings taken from current building
  10. 21000 plus ain't a bad crowd when you think 45000 were at Cardiff. The UK has 40 million more peeps than Aussie. There is no league speedway in the country so would say considering Doyley wasn't riding they can be pleased with that. More there than the Sydney GP. And Melbourne is Aussie Rules mad, far outnumbers any other sport. What were the crowds for the 2016 series?
  11. Most Swindon fans thought there would be no new stadium, but In Rosco We Trust, fantastic for Swindon Speed way and the town. Will it be called the Tomlinson Rosco or Russell Arena. Will enable the Robins to stay among the top clubs such as Poole and Belle Vue.
  12. Fantastic Greg at 46 4 times world champ, God bless America The Olympic Champions Apple Pie Ben and Jerrys Maccy Ds Baseball Clint Eastwood Mickey Mouse Hilary Barry Obarmy Donald Duck and Donald Dump. We whooped your European and Aussie asses good n proper...yeehaa!
  13. Well done Greg unlucky Jase, didnt go but bruv in stadium said it was superb, as has been whole series.
  14. Great to see the Swindon skip at number 1, 4 years ago he was a Robins reserve...fantastic achievement by Jase, who should have been in Melbs being crowned world champ.
  15. Perhaps they have lost half their fans because people are just bored, finishing mid-table winning nearly every home match and losing away. Would say Saturday is a good night for home meetings. Should never have got rid of Gromet the Comet, that's when the rot set in.
  16. Kennett should be around the top? Tunny very inconsistent but has wacked in some big scores in the Elite for Swindon as has Josh G.
  17. Would be sad to see Worky go, was a regular up there. in the days of stoney and steady 2004/5, good crowds averaging around 1200. What size crowds now? Good luck Comets.
  18. I know they are trying to save money but one bloke with a shovel. Perhaps he gave up and went home. Hopefully some Roman Celtic and Saxon remains/artefacts will be discovered. I am thinking of going up there with me pickaxe and metal detector.
  19. I saw a wheelbarrow the other day, now gone.
  20. Had planned to go as we are off to Aussie in 3 weeks but glad we changed our travel plans. Bruv from Adelaide is flying in but says will be anti-climax with Swindon skipper Doyley unable to compete in own country and being crowned world champ.
  21. Rode with Briggo first heat I ever saw at Blunsdon 1968 v. Belle Vue. Great trier and crowd fav, with his spectacular style. Like Robins stalwarts such as Keener Munday Bouchard etc great clubmen. Was at the so-called Abbey Farewell last year.
