  1. Stuart Pearce watched Belle Vue sometimes as did Elbow's Guy Garvey..ex legend Don Rogers is a regular at Swindon. John Lennon visited Fleetwood speedway.
  2. Briggs Swindon v. Ashby Exeter 1969, wheel to wheel for 4 laps, Crash won by tyre width. And Morra heat 13 at Wolves. So many great races over the years.
  3. On my 2 visits there, a win and loss for the Robins, there has been some top drawer stuff, much better than The Abbey gate and go, and surprise when someone is passed after bend 2. The Oak Tree is better for viewing as well, no dog track and fences and metal to look through. If i lived about halfway somehere around Bath or Bristol would go to Zummerzet regularly. The Abbey has slicker presentation though.
  4. Shouldn't think many would make the journey from the west country, little interest in the Cup judging by last night's crowd. Those that pay for BT Sport will record it.
  5. Good to see Tobi hitting double figures. Has ridden well this year..always gives it a bloody good go that Polish geezer.
  6. A Lynn win at Sindon.. by about 6 points I reckons Last chance of silverware for Robins
  7. And Wolves have never finished top in their playoff successes.
  8. Poole normally favs to finish top. Leicester the biggest disappointment. KL the surprise table toppers. Swindon 5th. Wolves 6th. was about right.
  9. Of the current teams Vue have won 12 top titles, Poole 9, Wolves 5, Swindon 4, so would like to see Lynn or Zummerzet win for the first time. Lynn finished top so most deserving of the trophy.
  10. Swindon's season gone from good to pants, started off winning the Charity Shield against Vue, top of table March April, then last couple of months apart from Poole match has been crap. Must be something behind the scenes affecting the club, heavy losses, lack of new stadium? Didn't go last night but bloody awful score, how many die-hards turned up? When you look back at the end of last season with crowds of 2500 to over 3000 it's gone t1ts up. You have to fear for the future of this great club. Roll on Monday then.
  11. Will be massive crowd on Monday, hopefully won't be last one, they could reach final this year.
  12. 3 out of the 4 have never won league so i think Poole should be favs.
