Well done Robins, gaining a point, especially Muesli and Batch. Was lost at reserve. Big scores from Nick and Becks. -

Close call either way, wouldn't be a shock if Robins won.Wolves 46-44. -
They wouldn't go, if they have to bring their own seat and have to use back straight bogs! Never seen that many at the County Ground for ages. Some fine camera shots of the famous Magic Roundabout.

Darce would have been world champion, one of the best number 1's ever seen in Swindon Robins colours, but unfortunately is a bit of a knobead at times.

Go to Newbury Races at least once a year, lovely views of course and surrounding countryside, unlike looking out at the scrapyard Stade De Lite up on Blunsdon Hill. One person i spoke to thought it would be full of hells angels and greabos, then i explained hardly any fans ride bikes!

Was chatting to former owner Terry Russell at the Swindon Dinner Dance last year, local east ender, Ackney fan then owner, and Leyton Orient fan. Went a few times in mid 60s after New Cross closed. My first match was in 1963 New Cross v Ackney.

Swindon good price at 13/2.

Will miss my trip to The Oak Tree to support The Robins this year, very good racing and set up there.

I'm fortunate to live 2 miles from the Shabbey, shame that the local rivals Reading and Oxford aren't there anymore, and there are no London tracks. I will still attend most matches and the Cardiff GP this year, it was better when speedway was March-October with about 30 home matches on a Saturday, but with only 7 teams in the Premier will have to make do with half that number. It's a great sport, don't know why more peeps don't watch it.

The chicken bazza -
Can't be far off Sid. There were a few big crowds when we were champions 2017..2500-3000 plus. They said 3200 for the Lynn match, and that doesn't include a few hundred guests, sponsors, volunteers, freeloaders, ne'er do wells ! etc., It seemed 2004-10 there were much bigger crowds when Leigh was riding. Certainly for the 2007 and 2009 Grand Finals, the club gave figures of 5000 plus, but the 2012 and 2017 finals were about half that.. Can remember Gary Patchett saying they had 2700 for the 2012 Final win against Poole, which he said was the same as the league match that year! Wolves brought very few fans in 2017 compared to hundreds in 2009. When Darcy rode for a while the crowds picked up.I remember the big crowds for the Bob Kilby Memorial meetings, World Team Cup, and Leigh Adams Farewell meeting. The cost of admission seemed to increase every year, but the standard decreased with fans staying away. If the new stadium and track was in place there would be far more there this season. With the cost of admission as well now can't really see crowds increasing, especially looking at the top div team strengths now compared to pre 2010.

Attendances haven't changed much at the Shabbey since 2012. I noticed the year before that in 2011 crowds were down. Probably a combination of finishing stone bottom and Leigh Adams retiring.

Saw Ove win the World final at Wembley 63..for me he was top rider in early 60s..Briggs top in mid 60s.

What matches had the biggest attendance in Speedway history?
