  1. Think I will give it a miss this year, with no British or Swindon rider in contention, mainly an East European comp. Be interesting to see the crowd numbers. Have attended 9 since 2005. Best for me Bombers win in 2007.
  2. Would be good orlovski. Feel good factor in sn25 at moment..3 good meetings in 8 days, good crowds, massive wins, good racing, and cup final and hopefully playoffs to look forward to. Lee Kilby is doing a good job promoting the sport. But 3 weeks till the final home leg. Fixtures too erratic.
  3. Probably Poole with the home matches left..but they won't want Swindon in the finals..no one will. Should be a trophy for top team as well.
  4. Some great promoting at Swindon by Lee Kilby, 3 meetings in 8 days, car parks full for all three, decent crowds. With special deals for fans, events, kids stuff. Much better racing since they've altered the track. And Robins top of the league, with cup final to look forward to. Can only see it getting better. Just shows with enthusiasm Barry Bishop on the IOW and Lee at Swindon can improve crowds.
  5. Boro and Ippo both lost 46-44 last time at Abbey. Now they're both massacred by 40 points. This Robins team certainly the form team at the moment, everyone is firing. 4 away meetings coming up, including cup final. Need some points on the road to make sure of play offs.
  6. That's fair comment...but some that are near a track can make it and can afford it. Sky used to have 150000 viewers, so 100000 more than BT. Some terrestrial tv coverage would be good. I live 2 miles from the Abbey but cant afford 3 matches in 8 days.
  7. But most homes don't have BT Sport. They had a bigger audience on Sky. So less than 50000 watch on tv? I've attended 2 Swindon matches this week, neither on tele, good crowds and good racing, in good weather. Was VFM. And thrashing the top 2 Poole and Ipswich made it more enjoyable!
  8. It was 46-44 last time, shouldn't be as close this time but. Good to see Morra back. Should like the new track.
  9. Total thrashing, could have hit 70. Another good crowd and Swindon go top. Ippo were embarrassing. Vissing won rider of the night. Record Premiership score this season, home and away against the Witches. Go Robins!!!
  10. They've recently been upgraded..they now have lights, and a grade 2 listed status!
  11. Wasn't there, but saw photo in the Kilb book. Other faves Hitchy Ashby Kilb Broady Keener Steady Killer Adams etc.,
  12. Had his rosette on the wall, and remember that terrible evening when he lost his life.
  13. You enter the back straight bogs at your own risk Swindon Speedway do not accept responsibility for any trauma that may occur. Clive and Martin Hitch will be attending.
  14. Last home league meeting..then 4 away before Cup final home leg against Belle Vue Sept 19.
  15. 70th. Anniversary celebration meeting on Monday..lots going on. Should be good evening. Good weather forecasted.
  16. Dunno sidders, be gr8 to see a few from late 60s 70s
  17. Shouldn't need him, but Boro only lost by 2 last time, and they are the only team to win in the league at Poole. Will go 56-34. With 3 home meetings in 8 days will give this a miss methinks.
  18. Gates open 6.30..ex riders to be in attendance, old bikes, plus stuff for kids. A Where's Wosco comp...fab?!
  19. Up to Weds 21 Aug..CMA Doyle...10.05 Batchelor..9.28 Fricke...9.16 Bjerre.. 9.02 Cook..8.61 Kurtz..8.45 Lambert..8.21 Jensen..8.00 Grajczonek..7.90 Masters..7.85 Loads of Aussies!
  20. Good to see in the Speedway Star, top 2 biggest away wins this season have been by Swindon at Poole and Ipswich, 53-37. Surprising as the Robins have just ended a 17 match run of away league defeats.
  21. 55-35..but would prefer the last heat humdinger we had last time.
