  1. Ya should have been at Swindon the other night, a few thousand there, blokes singing and dancing without tops on, you'd have loved it!
  2. Would have French Dave back at Swindon, contributed when Muesli was out injured.
  3. Excellent post. One of the things I missed living in Cornwall, a night at the Abbey. The pinnacle of The Robins proud 70 year history. Grown, shirtless men singing and dancing.
  4. My bruv left Liden at 640..stuck on 419 for ages..turned back. I'm sure there were more than just over 2000 there, as claimed on Points West. Would have been lot more without tv coverage, better weather, and better access and parking. Would have peed off local homeowners but at least they got free firework display.
  5. Good feature on Robins on BBC Points West tv.
  6. I don't think Lee Kirby has done bugger all for the Town but Lee Kilby has been very active with sponsors and promoting the sport. I think he lives in Tooting..I wish I had his bloody energy! Tickets bought for the end of season bash on November 1..should be fun!
  7. Fantastic, thats what sport is all about! Just watching the videos.
  8. Great boost for the Town, not just the thousands watching at the stadium and on tv/radio. With all the worries about Honda and redundancies, brings a smile to peeps faces. Robins fans from Wales, South coast, Surrey, etc., Had to laugh at the guy, think hes from Gloucester, wearing loads of scarves, almost hysterical, and fans with no top on, unfortunately male! Was like a footie match!
  9. If you can peeps get off your backsides and get trackside. I was 1 then, started following Swindon in 68, after beginning at New Cross in 63.
  10. Doyle Jensen Batch Muesli Ellis Perks Vissing..sorry that's 7!
  11. I've only got one thing to say on the matter...HI HO SWINDON ROBINS!!! Double winners.
  12. They did in 1957, but I wasn't there! My bruv got stuck on A419, turned round and went home.
  13. What a fantastic season. Great riders and fans. The passion that Lee Kilby has. Well done to Terry Russell and everyone at the club. Best atmosphere ever at The Abbey last night with the singing and chanting.
  14. Watching on BBC Points West, just over 2000 there. Looked more than that!
  15. It may have been pretty boring if watching on tv but the atmosphere was probably the best ever at The Abbey on the packed terraces. Hi ho Swindon Robins!!! Rain before the start and p1ssing down now.
  16. Fantastic atmosphere..hundreds chanting and singing, waving flags, was like a footie game!..Well done Double Winners!!! Must be the most one sided final ever, Ipswich totally mashed.
  17. Piecheck has been Witches top scorer last couple of times at The Abbey, they will miss him.
  18. You will just have to go back to supporting Swindon Robins and Swindon Town.
  19. The death knell for Swindon crowdwise was when they went from Saturday to Thursday, then spending years scratching around outside the top league. Shame to see a famous club like Poole dropping down, not good for League speedway. Those eagerly awaited Knobs v Moonrakers clashes no more. Another derby gone.
