Chatting to James on Facebook messenger, the obvious toughest opponents for him being Briggo, Mauger, Ove, Ole, Anders. Favourite fellow riders for GB were Kilby, Eric Boocock, Reg Wilson, and Hunter, Beaton, Bertola for Scotland.
-
Recall Jurica Pavlic, a one hit wonder,.and Sir Leigh Adams scoring 21 and 18 I think? as Swindon won at Arena Essex. Adams carried Swindon at times, as Ashby, Crump and Briggo did on occasions.
-
Swindon lost their 3 year unbeaten home record in 68 , no Briggo, Mauger and Olsen running riot in a 39-38 Newcastle win at The Abbey.
-
Cheers..local lads Kilbs and Keener would become prolific scorers and loyal long serving clubmen.
-
Blimey what were rest of scorers in the 3 Swindon matches. Started following them in 1968 when Briggo, Kilby, and Broady were heat leaders.
-
Cheers, was chatting to Colin at Swindon couple of years ago, he mentioned that he beat Bjorn in that meeting.
-
Probably my 2 fav riders, Briggo and Bjorn.

Do you have scorer details of a meeting i attended in 1963, Southampton v PL Select at New Cross? Spoke to Reg Luckhurst on Facebook messenger today.

Eat Out to Help Out 4 times at pubs in Swindon..no sporting events yet. Had 3 nights at B&B Clovelly north Devon. Train to Bath and train from Blackwater for work. Jethro Tull gig in Poole cancelled. Pub quizzes outside of neighbours houses. What a bloody year!

From what I remember Oxford won 3 to Cradley's 2?

Disliked Fish and Batch until they rode for Robins. Compton wasn't popular at Worky when he rode for Sheffield. Sean Tacey was hated by Worky fans in 2004, but then joined them in 2005.
-
I heard he wasn't keen on you either I disliked many top riders, Fundin, Mauger, Olsen, Rickardsson, Nicki Pedersen, most Swedes, Danes, Americans, Aussies, but Briggo and Ashby were great as they rode for Swindon, and Knutson, Craven and Hancock were faves. Couldnt stand Rory Schlein.

Yes Norwich deserve it along with lots of others I remember..London Bristol Exeter Southampton Coventry Oxford Bradford etc.,

Currently watching Swedish speedway from Vetlanda...FreeSports 422. -
Yes Chezanowravoski scored 17 from reserve. Adams and Mads K0303rneliussen lying on ground after heat 1 crash. Probably best meeting I've attended. Didn't go to Final but mates left after heat 8 in minibus, said about 500 Robins fans there. The good ole days. The Robins had a lot of wins at Cov.

I can only speak of my local track at Swindon. Great promotional work by Lee Kilby, British Premier Double winners last season, crowd of over 3000 as they thrashed Ipswich in Grand Final, hundreds chanting and singing, fantastic. Crowds were up on previous year. -
Went to Millwall last season, very few black faces in crowd, in area of large black population. I suppose The Wall have always been associated with right-wing, same as Chelsea. They dont do the knee down the Den. The Arsenal have a large black following, their one time hoolie leader called Denton, now deceased, was a huge black geezer. Dulwich Hamlet have black manager and mainly black players, very few black fans?
