The most dangerous riders

Bernie Persson, Pete Munday -
Heard 29000.?
-
You should have gone to Swindon Down😁
-
Brilliant Bewley. Some good racing, great effort by Swindonian Tom Brennan. First ever English 1-2 in GPs. Shame the crowds are so low now. Wouldnt have thought most fans stay overnight? Cardiff is a superb venue. Its not over yet, a rare Zmarzlik off-day.
-
Went to most up until Covid, but with crowds down by 20000 the atmosphere ain't the same, will watch on tv.
-
We always park in Cardiff city centre signposted from m4 motorway. County Council car park runs free regular special buses, or there are multi-storey car parks. Allow plenty of time as motorway always busy.

WORLD PRESS COVERAGE GB WINS SON
Ovalman replied to speedwaysliders's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The days of results, tables and reports in the national press are long gone..60s, 70s, 80s. Speedway is a great sport but just ain't popular anymore in Britain. -
My bruv and sister-in-law over from Australia visited Oxford for the speedway v Sheffield and said how impressed they were with the racing and the stadium.

Speedway of Nations 2024
Ovalman replied to a4poster's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
But at a speedway meeting you only get about 15 minutes of actual racing. I can pay a fiver to watch a film at the local cinema, even a decent local non-league football match is 10 quid, you can follow a football league team for around 12 quid a match if you have over 60s season-ticket. Speedway shouldn't be more than 12-15 quid, not over 20 quid as Oxford charge, far too much. -
For me, Coventry 44 Swindon 46, at Brandon 2007. The Robins needed a 5-1 in last heat, won by Adams with Chrzanowski holding off Nicholls and Schlein for the win, sending the Swindon fans wild.

Speedway of Nations 2024

What was the capacity for the event, and how many does the main stand seat? Tickets seem a bit pricey to me. -

How did the crowd compare to Monday? -
King's Lynn v Oxford 17/06/24

Excellent from Magic, massive improvement, the Ox would have been swamped without his contribution. Some good racing, and more entertaining than watching the Euros game for me. -
Great riding from Magic, weren't a lot to choose between the top 5 of each team. Alun Rossiter is a very good proven manager, knows how to win top league titles, 3 with Swindon and 1 with Coventry, an ex-rider, should be managing in the Premier.

Oxfam could spring a surprise here...44-46, depends on Janowski improving. -
And some people don't remember the 66 World Cup Final, The Beatles, Arold Wilson, Spangles, motor bikes and sidecar combos, chestnuts roasting on a brazier, or the last time Spurs won the league
-
The Cooks should be in top 5, agree with Pickering at top, and good to see Lawson and Brennan doing really well in both leagues, and Bomber and Scotty are superb, can go on for ever!
-
Cor blimey it was a tanner a bag when I went.
-
Agree with your top 3 but would have Fricke, Kurtz, Lawson higher up. Shame Doyley is out for season.
-
Was talking to one of the ex-sponsors yesterday, he said the club ran out of money
-
My first speedway meeting 1963 New Cross v Ackney. Went to Ackney once, 1964, don't remember it though, was only an 8 year old nipper.
