  1. You should have gone to Swindon Down😁
  2. Brilliant Bewley. Some good racing, great effort by Swindonian Tom Brennan. First ever English 1-2 in GPs. Shame the crowds are so low now. Wouldnt have thought most fans stay overnight? Cardiff is a superb venue. Its not over yet, a rare Zmarzlik off-day.
  3. Went to most up until Covid, but with crowds down by 20000 the atmosphere ain't the same, will watch on tv.
  4. We always park in Cardiff city centre signposted from m4 motorway. County Council car park runs free regular special buses, or there are multi-storey car parks. Allow plenty of time as motorway always busy.
  5. The days of results, tables and reports in the national press are long gone..60s, 70s, 80s. Speedway is a great sport but just ain't popular anymore in Britain.
  6. My bruv and sister-in-law over from Australia visited Oxford for the speedway v Sheffield and said how impressed they were with the racing and the stadium.
  7. But at a speedway meeting you only get about 15 minutes of actual racing. I can pay a fiver to watch a film at the local cinema, even a decent local non-league football match is 10 quid, you can follow a football league team for around 12 quid a match if you have over 60s season-ticket. Speedway shouldn't be more than 12-15 quid, not over 20 quid as Oxford charge, far too much.
  8. For me, Coventry 44 Swindon 46, at Brandon 2007. The Robins needed a 5-1 in last heat, won by Adams with Chrzanowski holding off Nicholls and Schlein for the win, sending the Swindon fans wild.
  9. What was the capacity for the event, and how many does the main stand seat? Tickets seem a bit pricey to me.
  10. My bruv from Australia, ex-Swindon fan, now strangely an Oxfam fan, was there. Said reasonable crowd but not as many as the Glasgow Championship fixture we attended 2 years ago. Some superb speedway, shame the 2 Sheff GP riders weren't riding. Been some good close meetings at Cowley this year.
  11. Excellent from Magic, massive improvement, the Ox would have been swamped without his contribution. Some good racing, and more entertaining than watching the Euros game for me.
