My Elite League Top 20
Barrow Boy 2 replied to Barrow Boy 2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As at 31.08.16 my top 20 riders on current form are now as follows:- 01 (02) Jason Doyle-Swindon-1260 02 (03) Andreas Jonsson Lakeside-1250 03 (06) Chris Holder Poole-1230 04 (01) Neils Kristian Iversen-King's Lynn-1220 05 (---) Tai Woffinden-Wolverhampton-1200 06 (07) Krzysztof Kasprzak-Coventry-1160 07 (12) Matej Zagar-Belle Vue-1130 08 (05) Robert Lambert-King's Lynn-1040 09 (10) Kim Nilsson-Lakeside-1035 10 (04) Freddie Lindgren-Wolverhampton-1032 11 (09) Craig Cook-Belle Vue-1030 12 (14) Sam Masters-Wolverhampton-1020 13 (08) Chris Harris-Coventry-1010 14 (13) Danny King-Coventry-990 15 (19) Syzmon Wozniak-Leicester-970 16 (20) Nicolai Klindt-Leicester-950 17 (---) Krzysztof Buczkowski-Poole-940 18 (16) Patrick Hougaard-Leicester-930 19 (11) Hans Andersen-Poole-925 20 (17) Josh Grajczonek-Swindon-920 -
My point is the rider who took part in the original start be it the programmed rider or a reserve replacement should be made to take part in the rerun from 15 meters. This would ensure that the offending team does not gain an advantage from trying it on and the offended team is not penalised in the process.
-
One rule that must be changed must be to prevent a team manager bringing in a better reserve to start from the gate when the original reserve is disqualified for touching the tapes. The original reserve should be made to go from 15 metres otherwise there is no punishment to the offending team who invariably benefit by scoring more points than they would originally have gained. This happened in this match when Kyle Newman was replaced by Bjarne Pedersen.

What's the difference between say Cook & King having BEL averages over 6 being allowed to ride BPL and say Schlein and Watt having BEL averages of over 6 not being allowed to do so? -
Leicester V Poole Elb. 20/08/16
Barrow Boy 2 replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Exactly. The previous format should now be brought back in. There is only one race in which the number 7 comes up against a heat leader. -

Didn't there used to be a rule that gave current SGP riders coming into The BEL during a season an assessed average of 8? -
Riders who touch the tapes should be made to start from 15 metres and should not be replaced by a reserve from the gate. On Saturday at Leicester, Coventry brought in a better rider who was allowed to start from the gate which was obviously an advantage.

Glasgow, Newcastle and Somerset are all riding tomorrow so I Am assuming Summers, Lindgren & Starke may not be available. -
I understand that Leicester will be missing 3 riders for this match.

When I look at the draw for each meeting I always look who has drawn numbers 1 & 9. The latter because he has the best gates later on and the former because he always comes out after each track grade and usually fades as the meeting progresses. This time however Lindback proved this theory wrong but it is most unusual for rider 1 to come out on top. Has it been done before?

The 2 matches he has ridden in has been caculated to be what he would score in 10 matches. I was unsure whether or not to do this and do appreciate your interest in this matter.
