My Top 20 Riders On Current Form
Barrow Boy 2 replied to Barrow Boy 2's topic in National League Speedway
My top 10 riders on current form are now as follows:- 01 (01) Jake Knight-Eastbourne-1122 02 (03) Dan Bewley-Belle Vue-1120 03 (12) Ben Morley-Lakeside-1115 04 (04) Max Clegg-Buxton-1087 05 (05) Adam Roynon-Plymouth-1060 06 (06) Matt Williamson-Buxton-1055 07 (13) Mark Baseby-Isle Of Wight-1040 08 (18) Tom Perry-Cradley Heath-1010 09 (11) Jack Smith-Belle Vue-1000 10 (07) Steve Boxall-Plymouth-995 11 (10) Paul Hurry-Lakeside-993 12 (15) Mitchell Davey-Stoke-990 13 (---) Jack Thomas-Kent-980 14 (17) Connor Mountain-Mildenhall-975 15 (09) Danny Ayres-Cradley Heath-940 16 (---) Rob Shuttleworth-Belle Vue-928 17 (16) Tom Bacon-Birmingham-920 18 (---) Jon Armstrong-Mildenhall-918 19 (---) Dan Halsey-Mildenhall-915 20 (20) Jack Parkinson Blackburn-Birmingham-910 NB. Zach Wajtknetch, Luke Bowen & Lee Payne are not included this time due to injuries having prevented them from riding for there clubs during the past month. -
When IRR was introduced was it not done so to cover riders injured through no fault of their own to compensate teams having to use Fast Track Reserves who the powers that be did not want to go up against top riders. I presume however that this is no longer the case and can be used for any injury even if it the injured riders fault. I ask this in the light of Sam Master's rides being covered when it states in the referee's programme that he was DQ'd in heat one after a crash that was deemed to be his own fault.

Leicester Lions Vs Swindon Robins 17/07/17
Barrow Boy 2 replied to The Observer's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
By saying that Riss may have thought it was a Swindon rider trying to pass him wasn't he implying that he rode wide deliberately to fence him? Also in this match Swindon were allowed to replace Batchelor in heat 15 with another eligible rider. Is this now a general rule to cover heat 15? I ask this because in the recent Ipswich /Newcastle match Schein was excluded in heat 15 for exceeding the 2 minutes but was not replaced by either another rider in their top 3 on the night or a top 3 rider in their averages but by a reserve. Were they prevented from doing so or was it allowable to use a reserve if one was available by choice. -
I'd rather have a free Hot Dog than a free programme
-
Now that the admission price for adults for the Swindon TV match has been reduced to £9.99 it would be nice if the management would give all season ticket holders a voucher on entry for either a fee drink or a hot dog to compensate them for their losses.

Barker has just been signed by Rye House but it does mean that Kennett becomes available instead

So much for Mr Lynch's pre season comments that we will just try and win all our home matches and just simply enjoy riding away. Wth this team of 6 BCL riders and only one BPL standard rider many more home defeats can only be expected. If crowd levels are to be maintained then something has to be done sooner rather than later. I see that starting the races are still proving a problem for the starting marshalls who I appreciate seem to be trying to line them up in accordance with the regulations by inviting then in in grid order. This however does not seem to be working does it.
-
Are we likely to have a full team for this one?
-
Do you mean 2 riders who started their careers in the BNL but not necessarily still there?
-
Don't all BPL teams have to have one British BNL rider at reserve?
-
A referee who is a very good friend of mine once told me that if he saw a rider move before he had completely pressed the starting button he would bring it back if said rider seemed to have gained an unfair advantage. So if no prior movement was detected and a rider guessed correctly he would not bring it back. How many times has a speedway commentator called it unsatisfactory because a rider anticipated. So what if he did. If he did not move before the referee hit the start button he should be allowed to continue.

I just think that he can't ride Leicester. Can't recall him doing any good in the past and when I heard that he had signed I said to anyone who was interested that he would struggle to be the heat leader required. When he signed he said he was delighted to become a Lion and he looked forward to having a good season. Practicing on the track is all well and good but having 3 other riders all seeking the best lines is not the same a flying around on your own.
