Well what a total disaster as the diamonds have fallen apart at the business end Sheffield was bad enough but this was a shocking performance 6 falls from 4 riders and 5 exclusions at home simply isn't good enough ........... morris apart who was trying too hard ............ the other falls were frankly a joke An off colour Glasgow missed a huge chance to win but should seal it at home tonight - they at least rode professionally and kept their heads ....... as Newcastle lost theirs and were 14-4 in 3 heats which they managed to convert to 7-11 by exclusions Well what can you say about 4 man Newcastle .......... they gave their all and lambert and morris were superb (we must sign Ashley at 6 next year) And the other 3 ..... well ............ since beating cook .... victor has been a pale shadow and his performance was truly shocking with his biggest contribution being to block Robert in heat 10 !!! Kus - well 6 points from 5 rides and 2 fall exclusions in October at home ............ not acceptable Philips ......... well the lad may be trying ..... but he is not good enough at the moment........ he is no better now than he was at the start of the season ........... and 5 rides tonight for 0 was costly We ALL want to be supportive but frankly the team has struggled under pressure in October - which none of us saw coming pre October ..... George and Alan must be scratching their heads in disbelief Any news on the make up of tonights team as I have still not decided if im going up Hope Kus is fit and gives us 7/8, and Victor raises his game tonight and gets 5/6 ... if so we have a chance .................. my heart says diamonds 46-44 with lambert clinching it in heat 15 ................... but my head says Glasgow 49-41 :-(

The world under 21s didn't just pop up it was known all year .... promoters agreed date and should have had guest fixed up.... even rider replacement would have been better ..... I like robbo and believe our promoters have done a good job.... but they dropped the ball on this .... they took a risk on robbo and it backfired ... Imho it was the biggest factor

I agree with arson fire .... choice of guest 2 weeks running has been poor...... ..... and both were awful performances ... at least robbo always gives 100% but we continually get guests way below their average Another cracking performance by Ashley... Deffo want him at 6 next year

I would think Lindgren and kus are nailed on as they are assets and they have been a good 3 and 4 ...apart from last night ... Worrall Deffo..... rose would like him at 2 but he may be feeling jinxed at newcastle...he always gets injured Morris for me has to be our 6 ... really impressed with the lad ... and faultless in yesterday's debacle Lambert would love him back but averages and Poland will probably see him go Pav... has done well but Swedish commitments have been an issue Philips I'm afraid a big no .... I've seen no improvement ... yes he tries but that's not enough Got to say the promoters built a team this year to win trophies....but alas its not worked out When all 7 are there we look powerful .... but for someone who has seen Newcastle ride away in 9 away meetings .... our inability to field a full team has been costly and cost us 2nd place and no Sheffield match..... This year's team was built to win the playoffs .... I just find it staggering we rode without our number 1 ... it's not Roberts fault.... but it was the major factor in our demise and our 2017 team needs to consider this

Congratulations to Sheffield..... I'm stunned we lost but the tigers did deserve it... they were much more up for it ... so well done to them As for their guests ... they performed well but nothing great ... the star was howarth... best I've ever seen him ride here and his paid 16 was the match winning performance It wasn't a hollow victory ... Sheffield had to use 3 guests cos the meeting was arranged on world 21s..... the only farce is crucial meetings are clashing with other meetings As for Newcastle we only HAVE ourselves to blame ... our poorest performance of the season .... reserves were blameless but 2 TO 5 HAD poor nights and as for Robson... well that was a poor choice 5 from 4 from number 1 was the main reason for failure I feel sorry for promoters in that they assembled a team to challenge for everything .... however our rider absences have proved crucial and very costly in all the competitions..... a serious look at the team make up for 2017 is crucial .... on paper we looked superb .... however they were rarely all together .... and lamberts absence tonight was the ultimate reason why our title hopes went up in smoke

another fantastic home performance by diamonds team is clearly built for the playoffs and cup - tbf would be good for league but we never have our full team out for the away games which is costing us points mind you the speedway gods seem to have it in for us the league cup ruling was joke, we had a decent chance at the pairs until we had to field our 4th rider and a reserve !!!!! - and now the 4TT which I would think we would be in a great shout for ................ no lindgren pava or kus .... UNBELIEVABLE .................. who would be a promoter !!!!!!! and yes - weirdest decision of the season ............. steads joke of an exclusion ............ it was a racing incident and the race should have continued ................... just summed up sheffields night really

funny how the team and supporters of the winning team don't regard it as a mickey mouse cup .................. its a competition to be won ... quite simply really yes the diamonds will have issues sometimes with a away fixtures which cant be avoided.... but there was no reason for the urgency or idiocy of this decision ................. the competiton still could have been completed by july and no - we didn't underestimate redcar, the team assembled could have won but redcar were the better team on the night ............ but it is doesn't get away from the fact the diamonds has 11 ride unnecessarily taken by reserves but hey ho ......... that's the world of speedway .... why use common sense

I know im a bit late - but well done the bpsa ........... and they wonder why the sport is struggling utter joke the diamonds were forced to ride this with 4 riders missing who was on the committee ..... Glasgow... Sheffield.... Workington and Somerset promoters how come somerset get until 10th June everyone knows a full strength diamonds would have walked this well done to redcar for battling hard to prevent their rivals going through ......... but I still think we should have won ..... Richie and Garcia were disappointing scoring only 11 totally hacked off as this was a competition we would could have won ,,,,, but thanks to the idiots in the asylum ................ rant over .............. ps hope Workington get thumped ......... cos they shouldn't be in the semis ........... sour grapes .... maybe ..... but its a fact

Kus has been dreadful away from home but the one thing you can say is he is trying He at least looks very disappointed and frustrated and he is clearly keen to ride for us as for danny - he started very brightly but May has been a shocker and he is no longer gating poor lad is way off the pace and looks as though he is struggling with confidence alas he looks the weakest no 7 in the league .... but im not sure what our options are

A bizarre meeting - what happened to our track last night Well done the boys for getting the win but irritated Glasgow nicked a point as we missed Lambert and Rose - who would have scored at least 16 (prob 20) and not 12 from our guests who tried their best Summers was superb - but would he have beaten stevie 3 times in a normal meeting ......... stevie gated like a man racing 2 meetings in a day .... not as sharp and neither was Ritchie Glasgow may have picked up 4 to 3 points .......... but a full strength diamonds racing just 1 meeting in the day ..... I would have us as favourites

My 1st ever visit to Glasgow and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed superb set up, cracking race track super meeting by two of the top 4 sides in league Glasgow deserved the win but I think Newcastle were worthy of a point Minor grumbles .... thought the referee was very generous with the 1st bend falls ........ looked like outside rider going for non existant space to me less said about the heat 15 debacle .... just for the record in the 1st run the diamonds jumped into a 5-1 lead - looked like good gating to me ................ anyway that stupid rule needs changing ........... not glasgows fault ...... but the rule is wrong and Glasgow may have won the battle ...... but a full strength Newcastle over 2 legs ........... I know where my money is going

Full credit to bandits plenty of spirit after last night's shock .... scoreline flattered us a bit ... another good meeting and what an effort by ludo in heat 15 Kus and Philips still struggling so even a top side still has a few niggles ... difficult to judge Victor till he gets his equipment .. the other 4 are in top form As for bandits ... the good news ... Carr possibly best no 7 in league ... Alden is your number 1 who will get better and piper is probably best no 2 and Wethers at 6 ain't bad .... the bad news tj and bager. .. both look weak .... worse news .. think u will lose more home matches to teams who can gate at your place

Great fightback by the diamonds and unexpected as I thought a point was the best we could get. Got to say I must be unlucky I've been to Berwick over 10 times in last 10 years and 4 without newcastle riding ,.... and in all the meetings I barely see any passing .... and last night was no exception ... whoever gated won ... yet people talk as though Berwick is speedway track for great racing ... it's a one line track ..... unless Berwick gating improves they will find it tough
