Jack Holder And The (lack Of A) 9 Month Ban

And what is the agreement for the away meetings at Newcastle, Scunthorpe & Glasgow (if status quo as per this year) are Torun giving their permission for him to ride in these or is it a Shelby Rutherford equivalent (no disrespect to Shelby, just he is the current example) You have actually highlighted what is totally wrong with the whole situation "....jack with Torun's permission will offer to ride for the Panthers...." that really is so big of Torun and Jack, offering to ride!!!! -

I think most other promoters are keeping their views to themselves at present, until situation is finalised. -
Riders have guested for their main rivals, and assisted them, since guest system introduced! Maybe Glasgow feel that as they pay Megabucks the riders should be more selective in their guest appearances?

Edinburgh Vs Panthers - 11/08/17

Nine teams out of the ten had their top 4 available riders competing, as agreed and authorised by BSPA, leaving just one team who deem themselves above the need to abide by the rules. But of course acting, as always, in the best interests of British Speedway! -
This keeps getting mentioned as part of the "deal" Peterbro' have made - but has it actually been confirmed as yet???

If he had 24 hour food poisoning he couldn't ride anywhere else (eg Poland!!)

I see Lambert is OK to ride for kings Lynn tonight. I wonder if the (alleged) low rate of pay yesterday might have influenced him (and maybe some others) to decide it was better to rest than risk his injury?
-
The bottom line is that Peterborough were influence by an outside agency to select a certain team for a BSPA event (where attendance is mandatory unless released by BSPA). That is not only against rules, but it is unethical and if allowed in the future open to total abuse. Was it cheating? depends - if you consider cheating as breaking rules - then Yes, if you deem it to be trying to gain an advantage - then not directly for this event, but you may argue the incentive taken could gain Peterborough an advantage in some form in the future!

If George English, Chris Van Straaten or Matt Ford were chairman of BSPA, would the question still asked as to why they (as BSPA chairman) were "going after Peterborough"? I don't think so, as there is wrongdoings which need BSPA to deal with. As to Chapman and his handling of Holder/Bachelor and the "understrength" team put out at Kings Lynn, that is a totally different issue altogether and should be treated as such. I would hope that other members of Management Committee have the power to investigate and sanction the chairman's club, if they have been deemed guilty of malpractice

Whatever anyone's views are about Chapman and his running of his club and the chairmanship of the BSPA, he has to "go after Peterborough" they chose to go against a direct BSPA ruling and it appears having had the issue/ruling reinforced, still disregarding their ruling body's directive. replace " Buster" with "Chairman of BSPA" and the question becomes ... why has chairman of BSPA gone after Peterborough for breaking rules and ignoring directives during the hosting of a BSPA event? Seems to be pretty evident !

Or the begging bowl is coming round again!!

Berwick will be using rr for NBJ - all riders able to take a ride - expect Worrall to get a hatful of points from 6 rides (and TR!)

The whole asset system is a total farce - happy to be corrected but my understanding is that PL teams can sign a rider as an asset then loan him out to PL club (eg poole - Ellis perks, Lakeside Zach W) Pl clubs have to have a rider riding x matches home & away before they become an asset and NL can't have assets - where on earth is the consistency or logic in that?? The whole system should be scrapped and everyone a total free agent and signed on an 8 month contract starting march 1st Failing that there should be a limit on how many assets a club can hold - A club should be allowed to retain 3 of there assets not named in 1-7 starting line up for the season, so effectively limit is 10 if they use all their assets, but more likely 6/7 - this would allow the less well financed clubs to utilise riders who become free agents and not incur lthe loan fees. I realise both ideas will never happenbecause a) they are too sensible and b. the big clubs want to keep things their own way

Seems like Mr Louis has been getting "expert" advice from Rathbone on how to release riders and then how to cock-up replacements and incur the wrath & rejection of the BSPA!

We should be pushing to have an extra GB GP at NSS - alongside the GP of Wales!!

All 2016 averages became redundant once they rode 4h 4A - the convertor (which I don't think has been officially revealed) is used to get an average in the other league, based on new 2017 one. Yet another wonderful benefit of the new system utilised this season!!

Ipswich V Newcastle Ch 20-7-17@7-30pm
Mad Max replied to Super Blue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The promotion/relegation play off is a total farce! Hypothetical example - using yours - Leicester play Ipswich Ippo win say don't want to go up. Leicester say they want to stay in Premier, and then two further teams - Berwick & Eastbourne say they would like to join Premier - can anyone honestly see BSPA not wanting to increase Premiership to 10 teams and have Leicester, Berwick & Eastbourne all joining the league? -
Really does beg the question why we turned to him in the first place !! panic knee jerk reaction me thinks. Have to say, a lot happier with this choice, but don't expect an immediate world beater! If he gets his two points that will do for a starter. Who owns him?
