  1. I fully comprehended your previous posts, but can you confirm who Stokes was brought in as a temporary replacement for? No matter how short you want to make it Holub cannot have replaced either Palm-Toft or Porsing in your declared team as they were both ousted on 15th May and he was a declared Scunny rider until the 20th! The facts, put very simply to aid your comprehension, are that Cook & STOKES replaced palm-Toft & Porsing and then Holub replaced Stokes - it is total smokescreen to throw in whatever deal Stokes was on - that is irrelevant. He was used as a pawn to get the side Peterborough wanted and additionally it helped when they threw the toys out of the pram to state how it was not helping British speedway by stopping young British riders having a team place - which is where the whole hypocrisy arises to then drop him (after his short term/temporary/1,2,3,4 match deal ended) for a young foreigner. It's you that has the facts totally wrong, as to any opinion as to why the events happened, then you are fully entitled to your own view, however deluded it is. Hope this makes it a bit clearer for you
  2. If he didn't replace Stokes who in the declared 1-7 did he replace?
  3. That's my point exactly, Peterborough who know him better than anyone didn't see him ready for Premier League Sorry, conned was wrong choice of words, again the point I was making was that for some reason George did decide he was suitable for a reserve slot, so what was that based on - was he recommended ( if so were we fooled/conned/misled) or was it our own judgement call in which case it was very poor. He seems a nice lad who is keen to progress, but to be honest he is out of his depth at present and you fear that this experience now may be doing more harm than good. If Edinburgh ever did switch away from Bewley then he looks like someone who is relishing opportunity and progressing, but I think Edinburgh have more sense than to get rid now you can see the potential there.
  4. Good scores from guests, not sure regular riders would have contributed that, so it may well have worked in Panthers favour
  5. We are losing (or drawing - Redcar!!) matches due to the structure of the team makeup and having too many riders missing with guest or r/r - and when we have full compliment it is a 6 man team straight away with little scope for riders having an off night. How george got conned into taking Phillips on is beyond me - should it not have been obvious that as Peterborough's no. 8 last year and with his connections to their management that they would have used him if he had any prospects of being an effective reserve?? I'm afraid we will have some more poor nights this season, and then no doubt it will be a poor track, or the ref's fault for a bad decision, or even pulling Phillips back after one of his "lightening" starts !!
  6. Maybe we should have asked Sheffield to give us a different night Seriously I think we have a chance of putting up a better than usual performance at Sheffield - this should be one of the tracks Kus performs at and Lambert will be good, together with a good guest and Lewis taking Pavlova's rides I'm hopefully optimistic (watch us struggle to get over 30 and my posting end up looking way off the mark!!)
  7. Oh obviously rattled your cage, shame your level is resort to name calling, but I'll get over it. It may have been common knowledge (and a minimum of 4 matches - remind me how many he had and you may include rain offs etc.) But it was all part the tirade spouted when changes were denied and Panthers were backing Brits along with toys out of the pram threats to pull out of league. Please advise what would I be jealous and have sour grapes over - no skin off my nose how teams are made up, I'm making a statement about integrity of putting a statement out and then backtracking - if you can't see that maybe its not me that is a dimwit Oh - I apologise then, sentence was so full of errors I see why I misread it
  8. "......these moves are the different between a normal promotor and a good promotor, Ged wants to win things, your a rubbishe one if you think......" I am assuming you meant "you are a rubbish one" with the one referring back to promotors - seems pretty clear to me!
  9. What makes you think I'm a promoter?? No jealousy at all, I agree it was the smart thing to do, however just be open and stop bleating on one hand that you can't make a change when it is benefitting Brits and then do the opposite a few weeks later No envy - ditto above comments
  10. So Peterborough are gearing up to ride with their new 1-7 this week, seems like only yesterday they were whining about BSPA not allowing their new team, when they were doing British speedway this big favour and getting two British riders into the league and giving a young lad his chance for a guaranteed 4 meetings. Now they have shown their true colours and stuck two fingers at any notion of being the club who was looking at promoting young British riders - obviously just a ploy to get their own way, next thing is they will threatened to pull out of league - oh tried that aswell !!
  11. If , as you state, George said we could run any night other than Sunday, we can't start complaining about getting one of those nights can we? And IMO we ran on the Monday to get the match played, which was to our benefit! I'm not out to totally defend Redcar, as we all know Havvy can be an awkward old $$$$$, but I think we need to look closer at home and the decision to build our team with the knowledge that we will be missing riders and have to get guests! If George is expecting other promotions to fit in with when we can ride all the time we will be falling out with many other teams , not just Redcar.
  12. The weather is the same as always, Redcar concentrating on league so getting averages down, better number 1 in place , Newcastle actually have 3/7 but all ex-bears, and there will be plenty of footie on telly soon, plus you get away from her indoors ! Come on put the positive slant on Application for marketing manager in the post
  13. If the only reason we paid over the odds was to get a good score at redcar then it's very flawed logic, we should be expected to win there even if Tsunami rode at number 4 - Needs to start upping his game very quickly, seems the Bears fans who weren't disappointed to see him go knew something after all!
  14. Has to be one of the most nonsensical statements ever posted!
  15. Seems like the Monarchs are copying Glasgow's formula for dealing with young foreign riders they don't want, maybe he'll end up at Sheffield and show his true potential!!
  16. Absolutely farcical!!! The whole concept of the rule was to give the yonug Brits their opportunity, they should stay at 7 all season regardless, if you pick a good one who dramatically increases average good luck. Yet another idea only half quarter thought through.
  17. Need a big win to consolidate LC qualification hopes !
  18. Great win for Stoke, Mr Vasey will be chuckilng away following the pre meeting build up !
  19. Nothing against the riders who stood in at Glasgow, but it really is a sorry state of British speedway when you look at that line up for a British semi final, I may be old school but to me the British final, and title, is rapidly becoming meaningless !
  20. Lyager must be nailed on given all previous assurances, IMO Palm Toft will be in, most logical choice but not necessarily the best?
  21. Hopefully Stevie W goes better tonight - he was a true replacement for Gjedde with that score at Redcar!
