It hasn't NEP was speculating, possibly on hearsay, inside info or dream he has had!

I think all new riders should come in on a minimum 3pt average, however their actual average should be allowed to drop to minimum of 2pts, and if the club wants to stick with them and use extra point elsewhere good luck!

It isn't a question of knowing how much specifically will be offered by either team, it's knowing that some clubs have, and almost certainly will, offer more. I know of three instances where the Glasgow offer was well in excess of offers from others BUT I have no knowledge of exact numbers. Don't see why you get so touchy about this, if Glasgow, or any other team, want to pay a higher rate to any rider and it falls within a sensible business plan ( even a loss making one if they can bankroll it) then fair game. I certainly don't blame any rider for taking a job offer that potential pays more!

Just trying to bring a bit of fun and frivolity to lighten our lives as the summer turns to autumn and the days shorten and winter draws close I do apologise if this caused anyone unnecessary stress and anxiety................................... actually no I don't apologise - lighten up and chill out

Strong suggestions reserves may have to be British - of course you could have JPB + another 3 pointer and then include Sissis - if something was brought in on those lines

Semi Final Ipswich V Somerset

It's not Morrisey fan in disguise is it? -
Interesting in Speedway Star to read Brian Havelock's comments, people slag him off (many Redcar fans) but he is openly admitting that his club, bottom of the league, are solvent AND made a profit this year. I applaud him for having a commonsense business like approach which has protected the future of Redcar. No doubt many of the moaning section of Redcar fans will still say that it isn't good enough, but would Plymouth and Workington fans exchange their position in league for redcar's and have a pleasant winter awaiting 2017 season?? I'm not suggesting all promoters use Havelock as a total role model for promoting speedway, but maybe his financial model should be considered!!

Does double points = double money? -
No point moaning about line ups - bottom line we were beaten (on aggregate) by the better team The big issue is the make up of our team and having to get guests so often, also George's love in with Robbo !! we have not progressed in League cup and now league because we haven't ridden with our proper team (not a complaint or moan just stating a fact) and that was something we knew was going to happen all too often this season!

Edinburgh V Peterborough Pl 23/9/16 @7.30pm
Mad Max replied to Mr Blobby's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Anyone know what Richard Hall's injury is? Bjerre/Halsey illness - is this cantbebothereditis?? And who has upset Holub?? A cynic may suggest that a) it is a ploy to reduce the thousands of pounds wage bill or b ) it is Peterborough spitting dummy out at not getting their own way Anyway others can think that, but I fully believe the difficulties with sorting the team out given all the last minute problems -
I get your angle, point I'm making is that he shouldn't be anywhere near the PL
-
Bjerre isn't a PL rider, due to the cockeyed system in elite league his average is falsely low and therefore eligible to be converted to ride PL, Peterborough have then thrown big money out to get him and Thomsen in for the play-offs Sorry - edited to add ..... which they are not in!
-
Maybe he is waiting to see if a crisis fund is set up to help with Friday's wage bill for a pointless fixture?

Think the key word to concentrate on in Scotsman's posting is "if" - then you answer you own question!
-
There are a number of other factors which all contribute towards the issue - you can argue that you leave cut off later but then you have potentially 3 matches to fit in, if clubs have restrictions on availability of stadium (as Edinburgh are stating) and they are due to play a club with same race night and possible restrictions you have two weeks taken up (more if rain off) you then have the rider availability problem which open up all avenues for discussions - I personally think we have gone way to far in allowing r/r & guest for riders hopping off to give priority elsewhere, but then what would it achieve by having a club with 3 of its own riders and 4 novices - just devaluing the public, so again dates have to fit in with when they can get a full team out (as per Peterborough and tonight). You can go on and on but is mid September really too early ?? Look back at all the weeks no fixture took place (probably because riders were elsewhere) and see how fixtures could have been completed

Lets get it extended to the 25th then Newcastle can get their last match in and possibly overhaul Glasgow for 2nd Oh.............. but then Glasgow may ask for it to be extended so they can go to Edinburgh and possibly get back ahead of Newcastle!! Bottom line - it wasn't extended for "some" teams it was extended as most had been affected by bad weather, if it is extended to 26th it is specifically for one team so why should they be shown favouritism
