If he is that much in love with Glasgow and their fan base, I suggest the ideal opportunity for him is available on March 12th.
I'm sure the Ben Fund organisers would welcome him with open arms
make it simpler, lowest average reserve has to take a minimum of 3 rides in race where an opponent reserve is riding eg 2, 4, 8, 12 or 14. they can take more if necessary and it still lets team managers juggle as they want
I think you are doing Ian Thomas a huge disservice to say he pulled the plug and ran away - in 1984 he openly admits he personally lost £40,000 and it just about ruined him. Anyone in that situation would "pull the plug"
Faced with that scenario - George would walk away!
Omitting Edinburgh and assuming Peterborough line up as people are saying my view is
1. Glasgow
2. Ipswich
3. Sheffield
4. Redcar
5. Peterborough
6. Newcastle
7. Berwick
8. Scunthorpe
9. Workington
Edinburgh likely to be around 4/5/6
Guess we need a new format for the PL 4s !
Plymouth seeded to final and 3 semis with 4 teams in each is now totally out of the window.
My suggestion would be to have two semis with 5 teams in and each heat one team drops out 20 heats each semi, top two through to final
lets see what the powers that be come up with
Edit - should have added - lets call it the Championship 4s
