Your Team An What You Expect In 2017....
Mad Max replied to Midget's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
make it simpler, lowest average reserve has to take a minimum of 3 rides in race where an opponent reserve is riding eg 2, 4, 8, 12 or 14. they can take more if necessary and it still lets team managers juggle as they want -
I think you are doing Ian Thomas a huge disservice to say he pulled the plug and ran away - in 1984 he openly admits he personally lost £40,000 and it just about ruined him. Anyone in that situation would "pull the plug" Faced with that scenario - George would walk away!

Everyone will be wanting compiler to have them at Sheffield, Ippo & Redcar on those weeks!

Omitting Edinburgh and assuming Peterborough line up as people are saying my view is 1. Glasgow 2. Ipswich 3. Sheffield 4. Redcar 5. Peterborough 6. Newcastle 7. Berwick 8. Scunthorpe 9. Workington Edinburgh likely to be around 4/5/6 -

I think all new riders should come in on a minimum 3pt average, however their actual average should be allowed to drop to minimum of 2pts, and if the club wants to stick with them and use extra point elsewhere good luck!

It isn't a question of knowing how much specifically will be offered by either team, it's knowing that some clubs have, and almost certainly will, offer more. I know of three instances where the Glasgow offer was well in excess of offers from others BUT I have no knowledge of exact numbers. Don't see why you get so touchy about this, if Glasgow, or any other team, want to pay a higher rate to any rider and it falls within a sensible business plan ( even a loss making one if they can bankroll it) then fair game. I certainly don't blame any rider for taking a job offer that potential pays more!

Just trying to bring a bit of fun and frivolity to lighten our lives as the summer turns to autumn and the days shorten and winter draws close I do apologise if this caused anyone unnecessary stress and anxiety................................... actually no I don't apologise - lighten up and chill out
