Eagles Vs Fen Tigers (sat 23 7:30+ Sun 24th 3pm?)
mrscambelt replied to Alex2000's topic in National League Speedway
Went to West Row yesterday and i have to say just to watch Adam, personally i think he is top draw and box office and i think no matter what happens he is racing for Eastbourne, the rule allowed it Adam said yes so thats the end of the story for me. Looking at it from another side of the coin have a look at Ellis Perks he was racing away for Plymouth and only scored 2 points so the night before where won all the races where he finished would have done he head in with the ups and downs of speedway, no looking at Adam he is playing it the right way he will have a good run at Eastbourne where his confedence is high and will carry that onto Poole and Eastbourne will get that in return so its a win win situation for all the clubs involved. The problem is that Adam was asked to do PL and turned it down because of the problems he encountered with Ipswich ? Have to say if Eastbourne could find another reserve then i think they will be high out the water but i think waiting for Tom Brennan will be a little bit too late in July. -
Lakeside rained off on Friday so I went to Eastboure. Have to say the first 4 races were a mess but a class act in Ellis Knight and to a degree Woods. Perks was unsteady but very exciting to watch but deserved every point. Reserves need looking at? Good to see Bob Dugard at the Track looking a lot older than before but with his illness he looked OK. Ellis worth the entrance fee alone welcome his stay for as long as possible.

Belle Vue V Poole 27/4/16 Ela. The Big One.
mrscambelt replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I can only tell you what i have heard, but i am sure that the problem is a lot bigger then we all know as you can dig out the ground and put in type 1 by the lorry load and pack it down hard with a roller to give you a base, your going to aske me how i know all this its because i work for a Tarmac company and i order all the type 1 and i mean we do Tons of it during the week if you order it with dust will make it even better as it will hold together but will allow water to pass between the stone, so not sure why they are having a problem as if it was us who was doing the job we would like to think we could lay that area in a week, so not sure what the problem is? to patch it up would be wrong and less cost effective then to rip it out and start again. -
Kids are normally free to the age of 12 so in your case most places are freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Not really being an Eastbourne fan but have to say its nice to see your pants have been pulled down by Kent so far this season and looking at the team changes you have made you are either very smart or very Lucky or that Eastbourne have opened a wallet to bring riders like Adam to your door. Saying that and putting my feelings to one side the side that Eastbourne have put out is much stronger then before and its good to see that other teams are now having to watch out for you as they did last year, my own choice would be that with the remainding ponits you have left would be to drop a reserve and bring in Ethan spiller then you could have a french man and german. i am only joking its a good move for the Club and i will be coming down to watch Adam as he was fantastic at lakeside a few weeks and he will draw in a few extras, i think its going to be a tight fixture with Mildenhall and would be nice to see Mildenhall supporters on the road.

Not sure how true it is but I just heard that the contractors have been chased for compensation for the first night of speedway being cancelled and they have now walked off site, that’s why the next 2 meetings have been put on hold until this is problem is going to be resolved? Looking at what they do at Cardiff in a week which includes putting in Electrics and a safety fence and a full track in a week I can’t see any reason why relaying one bend is proving to be such a big problem unless they have stuck Oil by mistake. The big question is what’s going on do we know how far anything has gone and how far away they are from getting the track ready. -

Good luck to Ben he has done more meetings since he left Eastbourne then Eastbourne have done since he left, wish him all the best, seems he might even go to stoke later in the year all local to him such a lucky lad, but i guess good riders are in demand still cant seem to get my head around why he never went to Belle Vue but they still have not had a meeting yet.

British Youth Championship 2016
mrscambelt replied to Alan_Jones's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Congratulations to Kyle Bickley for winning the 500cc class at Glasgow a few weeks ago but have to say very impressed. I have to say I am very disappointed to hear that Kyle let himself down at the end of the race and winning the final by making a hand gesture to his other 3 riders. Personally I would point out the rules in the book and maybe a reduction of points would show a stand against riders and parents that this is a clean sport, or very quickly this will become more of a Sunday league pub football match unless its nipped in the butt. Nobody at any age should be bigger than the rule book and its respect and sportsmanship that British speedway needs at the moment. . 3.1.4 In the case of a rider under 18-years- old, his/her Parent/Legal Guardian deems to bear mutual responsibility with that rider. 3.2.5 Ungentlemanly conduct, fraudulent act or any proceeding in connection with a competition, meeting or of the sport of motorcycling generally. 3.28 Any act which is of a violent, threatening or abusive nature to any Official, rider or any other person. For the purpose of this Article, a prejudicial act shall be deemed to include (but not limited to) the non-payment offines, Licence fees and Meeting fees. 3.2.9 The use of any accessible form of media to propagate foul, abusive or offensive language, profane activity or fraudulent comments against any rider, Official or member of the SCB or deemed to bring the ACU, SCB or BSPA into disrepute . Don’t forget there are people out here who want to sponsor young riders and bring them on so at all times they must conduct themselves as a professional. Social Media is great if you can use it in the correct way, ie, Hancock, Holder, Harris. But don’t lower the youth speedway to a level that it deserves to higher than. -
It will be intereststing to see if and when jade gets his English passport to see if he has to sign the paper work that they are talking about letting the likes of the Spillers ride. As it would mean he could not ride for NZ as they could not ride for Germany, i guess another hoop the BSPA have given a rider who is good enough to ride in the league, as we used to say at work its all gone pete tong

Birmingham V Cradley 20 April 2016 Nl
mrscambelt replied to Ommer Mon's topic in National League Speedway
I think Birmingham are the team to beat at the moment, Cradley will really have to have lady luck racing at number 8 for them if they are going to take a point from this one. -
Weather is good for Saturday so i hope that the whole of speedway can get on and run some matches, would have been nice to see the Match between Eagles and Kings as there was no meeting at Lakeside on friday so they should have had a bumper crowd but that didnt happen. Just waiting on the new date as i will try to make that.

Made me laugh someone put a survey up and said about covering tracks with covers? how many clubs have got the money to do such a thing and do they every work? i remember years ago they used to have them in Denmark at Vojens and where the overlap was on the sheet were like little rivers and then the tracks cut up on water mark where it become soft and then that made the track unraceable. So covers didnt work or they would have continued with them around the world.

From the updates on the morning on social media the clouds look as if they were pretty black and then looking at the video of perk going around i have to say i think it was more of wet mud coming off the back and not dust (lol Dust). Then i guest it was in the hands of the weather and it let go looking at the photos of Eastbourne track a speed boat would be better then a speeway bike.
