  1. Too right but i just looked at the fixture list and nothing in August apart from stock car racing on 2 saturday nights and 2 GPs on the other ones and i assume they can use the stadium on sunday and did the sunday away fixtures. But a crazy world. Stockcars rule and own Arlington as they bring in more money then speedway i have been there for a stockcar meeting and you cant move for people. Hey ho in the playoffs does anyone have the dates for them?
  2. Theres an offer on the train and go home with the wife all winners or even get the wife to pick you up from Polegate station, even better ask if anyone else can pick you up from the station.
  3. Oh well it suited me as kids have football in the mornings and always a rush to get to the speedway, friday nights are a no go as to traveling for fans unless they are local, other clubs do it, Mondays is speedway on Tv so thats a no go, Wednesday is car racing at Arlington, so then its Tursday friday is Kent or Lakeside? so really its saturday night then. mmmm ok i have to ask to change the shift then for next season.
  4. well what a turn up for the books i had a month on shift work were i could not make the weekends and bingo i was able to go to kent on friday and hope to get to Eastbourne this week, the result at Kent was a blinding result seeing that we had not been close to them all year and to flip them over on there own turf was great. Good rides from Perks a revolution this year for the Eagles, along with the likes of Adam and George, Knight looked to be away in La La Land but he saved us there last time we went so thats fair enough. cant wait for friday night under lights at the arlington bowl. night speedway is the way to go what about sundays at night?
  5. Think your find that if a rider take a ride at number 8 it counts towards a meeting thats why jenkins and brennan hampshire will only do 3 meetings, but i many be wrong as i have asked the question before, i am thinking thats why they have been put on the side lines, good to see that the clubs are thinking of the riders and not just throwing them in and watching them hang themself for 2017, Jenkins has i think a CMA of about an 8 point average, which would have made him a number 1 in most teams at the start of 2017. shame for the riders as i would have thought that they need track time but i guess its playing the rule book the clubs advantage, running RR is boring for us public but i rather have a full team go around as most of us would.
  6. Thank you for the update, shame really,
  7. Oh no whats Dan done i was really looking forward to seeing him, i was impressed with him when Peterborough in August, what a great little started and what a gem of a find too. Who says you cant make a moto crosser a speedway rider. Look at cook and worralls and now bewley. Great find from Steve Lawsons camp i am told.
  8. well well well, Still not sure what to make of the sunday meeting, a red hot sunny day sitting in the sun was lovely watching speedway, but as its taken up the whole day i think i rather have a saturday night. Nice to see Ben Hopwood back at Arlington, Danny Ayres is a showman love him or hate him he is going to try everything. Perks was much more like the perks we are getting to double figures out of every week, Adam was in another class, Harris seemed to be better until you watched him in the second half and then was out classed by Tommy B, Jake has a great meeting, but the winner of the day was george wood, he looke like the old george from last year, and i was pleased to see him finish up with a paid maximum. roll on next week as i want to see that Dan Bewley.
  9. Looking forward to the Fours, I think we should have a good chance with the way the guys all rode at Stoke last week, I think if george ups his game then it could be game on for us at Coventry.
  10. What a good meeting at the weekend from the Eagles, Adam in a class of his own, Jake just unfortunate with a fall where it looks like they over water the black line on the inside, If Mildenhall would have had Kyle Hughes it might have been a problem for us. I came home still not sure what day is best either a Saturday or Sunday, at least with Saturday i dont get dusty but its a late night Sunday is a whole day. Still not sure whats best day but the only thing is we have speedway. Well done to Luke for his big score
  11. well done to the Enland team last night. Was not really expecting that result for the English boys but a well deserved one. Nice to see Adam involved on the TV. Belle Vue proved to be a great race track I guess that's were the GPs will be in the future.
  12. I agree Adam seems to be a indirect bonus. Along with Perks.
  13. Please come and meet me put your £20 up if you think i am Mr Dugard and you can put it straight into the Ben Fund with Northen Monkey & Hammertofall
  14. I beg your pardon. i think you are mistaken and i would be more then happy to meet you at either lakeside or Eastbourne, i will show you that i am not Mr Dugard, Very dissapointed that Northen Monkey that you cast that across the forum. happy to meet up with you face to face and just PM me i am waiting. if i turn out to be who i am and not who you said i am then you are proven wrong your have to £20 to the Riders Ben Fund. I am happy to do that as i know who i am and wont cost me a penny.
  15. How is Gary anyone know as i dont see any reason to show off his new bike until he is going to ride i. But a few photos on the internet would be nice to see whats going on with it and how upto date it is. But i guess Gary is not fit for Mildenhall
  16. I agree an you never know who is going to go the best in your team that night well not the top 3 anyway so its a team why not use all 7 if they are up to it. (but not all together in one race) as that would be unfair.
  17. From what i heard it was the ref that stopped the race and told Eastbourne and Kent as i dont think either team was aware of the rule. But i guess you could take it as a rule book wizardry by Eastbourne lol. Unfair to a degree that Danny was taken out the race but i have to say i think he would have made a better start than Luke Bowen but i dont think he would have passed Jake but that again is if and Buts. It was a great meeting from both sides and looking forward to out trip to kent and is only 45 mins from me. Was it a female Ref? the little one with the wellies Barbara Winsor lol, i mean Barbara Horley or Christina (someone) who dug that out the rule book must be a lady thing.
  18. Can someone please explain to me why Danny Ayres was not allowed in heat 15, I see Jack Thomas and him got 7 points each, but does BP count? is that how it works as they said something to do with his average? Why would that make a difference. Danny has to be in the top 3 of the averages of the Kent Team.
  19. We'll have to say I was not sure about Tom Brennans quick return I also thought he was too young at 15 to be racing but I have to say I was wrong. 100% wrong. Tom brought the house down in heat 2 with a great race from last out the start to hit the front with in a lap with a great use of the wide outside. Then to do it again in heat 8 but this time the inside run. shows the kid is thinking and not just a flat out rider who look take his life in his hands and try to win everything straight away. maybe the crash a few weeks ago was a blessing where he is now learning to think about things and what a great little rider he was. If the kid learns to start then I have to say I think we got ourselfs a real winner the half pint kid looks to be a local hero. Well done Tom your worth the admission fee alone with the great passes you have made at the weekend..
  20. your right lets forget about the selfish self centered Kiwi lol lets move on to the English lads that are doing it for us this year, Tom Brennan is back which for me seem a bit early but i guess somebody knows what they are doing maybe a few practice laps will help him on Saturday morning. Its going to be a good one this week tough for both teams with the outcome being very close but a home win for the eagles by ? how many i am not sure i like to think about 8 but could be less fingers crossed and everyone is safe.
  21. If thats the case you can see why the effort and money put into Brad just walks away with giving nothing back to the club. Well we all live and learn, maybe English riders will get the chance now but the money that Eastbourne could have made in his name on the books has been lost, But Brad is his own man and he will do what is best for him and only for him, dont forget who looked after you when you wanted to come to the Uk (oh you have forgotten already) it was not somerset.
  22. Thats a good point they didnt own anyone? but i did read somewhere that Kent has the same problem with Shanes and it was agreed that any club could have assests if they had signed before a certain date but the life of me i cant think when it was, But again i did read that Bob moved his assests to lakeside, Bridger and JK, Woodward and i think it was a danish rider. so i guess Martin did the same which make them all under one umbrella. but i cant see the problem with lakeside selling Brad if thats the case or is it that they are fighting over the money? to me the effort he put in was 100% and worth every penny he was paid, but on the other hand if i was trying to run a club and was invited to run in the PL as the rumours are its going to change why not want to use your own riders, you could use Brad, Bridger, JK, Woodward, Simon (as i hear he wants to return) almost a good side. but hey i am dissapointed that BWD with BWD as i dont think anyone else would have took a chance on him in the UK. Just lucky that the Dugards took the chance for US all to watch him race, but thats why you pay good money to riders and from what was banded around last year i heard he made around a 20K figure not bad for a NL rider but thats only terrace talk you can get cheap labour or a skillfull one but thats the difference is Price you always pay more for quallity..... and he was quallity. Think your find he is lakeside asset that Eastbourne have an agreement with lakeside as a feeding club for the future, same as Boston and Kings Lynn use to be, and other clubs in the Uk but i might be wrong, its a bit like Somerset and Poole all under the Gary May and Matt Ford, and iwade and Kent, they all have some sort of Link somewhere deep in the mix of it all.
  23. well well well, you bring a guy to the UK to race speedway and he pulls your pants down and makes the club look stupid, oh well you live and learn will be interesting to see how Brad gets on in the future, wish him all the best feel sorry for the Club but to be double crossed in speedway you get use to it. Shame really as i thought that Brad was one of the good guys but looks like he is out to get what he can but he will always look back and see who was the club that took a chance and brought him to the UK. Brendon Johnson or BWD? was the call, Wished they stuck with BWD as least he would have stuck with the club.
  24. Dummkopk... How very Adult of you, and what the hell has Darcy got to do with Eastbourne's bad management decisions? This was a high pressure match against the reigning ( and up till then undefeated) champions. Hardly the kind of meeting to put in a kid who was untried at this level, especially one so young. The events themselves proved that. Ok smart arse when do you start the kids racing speedway? do you wait till an easy match or wait until the sun is out? If someone is old enough and good enough he or she should be allowed to show the talant that they have, not to hold them back till you the supporter decides whats best for the kid, maybe thats where we have been going wrong? we are miles behind the rest of the world in the racing maybe its because we hold our English kids back but then again with your comments i can see that if you had a team of youngsters 15 to 21 like 98% of Birminghams team they be 21 plus before you let them ride. JPB is 15, smith 17, Luke Harris 17 so all very young riders and means they all started at 15. so best give up the arrgument that its anyones fault? just an accident which evreyone who was there watch. Not management, not track, not supporters, an accident.
  25. Well what a stupid remark you have made, sit back and see if it makes sense, why would Tom Brennan want to sit out a meeting when he was able to ride, His Birthday, age was ok, top of the youth Championships, 5 times British Speedway and Grass track champion (so it says on the web) so why sit back and watch others ride when you can? Darcy Ward would not have sat back? yes it was a hard meeting but life can be hard you cant always go for an easy option, Charlie powell was not able to take his place because of an injury at Cradley so why has it go to be anything do with the Dugards? you will never stop a good Kid from racing or gettting injured, (Darcy Ward) best rider in the world, the problem i think is that its easy to try and blame someone for a crash, in this case it was a miss judgement by Tom and he paid for it but a 100% a pure accident the same as Andrews and Powell and Perks and Stokes when perks hit Stokes bike. But to blame a management because they entered a young lad in the team and he falls off just shows everyone how silly your comments are and infact anything you say is not worth reading, If Niall strudwick was in the same place and Tom he would have taken it with both hands to have a ride but if he had crashed would that have been the clubs fault.???? (dummkopf)
