We went to Wroclaw for the World under 21 Final in September. Regular tram journies to the gates of the park takes about 20mins from cc. The Box office is at the entrance to the park. on practice day (fri) we collected our tickets there which were prepaid online. When you see the price of a programme in Poland you,l probably buy 10! From there its a fair walk into the middle of the park to the "Olympic" Stadium (1936) ? We were pretty close to the starting gates but I got the impression we would have got a good view anywhere. Immediately next to the stadium there were plenty kiosks for grub, beer, coffee,souveniers &etc. The toilets were clean & convenient, always keep some coins back for the ladies who keep them so well. Last tram to cc is about 1120pm but don,t leave it till then. Polish beer is a fair bit stronger than German Pils and thats b4 u start on their Wodka. If you take it easy you,l remember some of the speedway. I,m sorry to say I dont know a word of Polish, spoke the Scottish version of english ? but we were 2 weeks there and are going back again this year. Great country Great people Great SPEEDWAY PS Didnt have any problems till we got to Prague !

Do the latter stages include 5 teams ? or has this been changed to just a 4 Country final ?

Thanks Crybaby that was good info for on-line booking. The new date is Sat 11 September with practice same day in the morning. It is very hard to pick a winner but if JKolodzie can get 10 points against the top riders in the WTC at Poole, I think he can get more than that at Wroclaw? But I,m sure Zagar,Bjerre & co will be trying hard to stop him. If Rory Schlein adapts to the track quickly he has as good a chance as any. Its a fantastic line up and I,m looking for some good racing.

How can tickets be got for -21 Final ? on line maybe ?

Is Sun 12 reserved in case of a rain off on Sat 11 ? Is Fri 10 a practice day ?

British GP excepted, (Dont know the reason behind this OU viewing time) the rest of the GPs are Sun, 7 or 7.30 am, wouldnt call this an unreasonable time. of course it may be to some

Who decides which country it is to be held in :?: FIM, BSI, SKY :?: I can understand why Australia is,nt on the short list to stage SWC because of the traveling time & expense. If a GP is not viable there it follows that a SWC would also be ruled out. Why is,nt Sweden being considered ? They are one of the top speedway nations, have staged many world finals and are currently SWC holders. I would have thought Sweden should be higher on the list than Poland, GB or CR. The 3 tracks in Denmark were all in the middle of the country within an hours drive of each other which meant we lodged in the same place the whole week. Compare this to GB - Sun Sheffield, Mon Poole, Tue Eastbourne Wed could,nt book up in case one of the 1st 3 was rained off. It seems that traveling fans are a very low priority when these decisions are taken. There are enough tracks in the midlands that could easilly put on as good a show as we saw in Denmark which was very good. I,m not sure what the best solution to the GP/ EL clash is but here are my thoughts : In the EEC ( soon to be expanded ) a rider surely has the right to work in any or all of the member States :?: would the BSPA challenge this by restricting their riders to only one country :?: I don,t know who exactly are BSI are, or if they have divided loyalties in speedway/ TV companies :?: I am absolutely stunned that Ullevi the venue for World Finals over many years needs a track layed at all :!: Doesnt a temporary track need testing on thursday and if theres a problem there is more time to sort it :?: Apart from GPs the present split of 9 EL 18 Premier is just not right and I think most Speedway people know it. Maybe this fiasco is just what was needed to kickstart some clear headed discussion and dare I say it Decision making by those in authority well before next season is upon us. :evil:
