I'm not one to agree with what Rob did, but however, he certainly isn't ready for Championship racing. National League would help him but not sure if he'd be allowed to compete in that level. Riders look good in practice on their own, as Jedd did, but when there's 3 other riders by you, its a totally different ball game

First load of heats, boring... was starting to think Leicester was the home team by the (lack of) racing and the follow the leader stuff... Heats 11 to 15 was decent, apart from the fact the place was a dustbowl.. A bit of watering would have helped surely? Congrats to Leicester on their win, helps Scunny out a bit, when it comes to the best runners up

Do hope your right Spiderman1, but thinkit'll be close... still going 47-43 to scunny... if track is prepared right, could be a classic

Do think this will be the toughest test of the Season for the Scorpions, but think we have enough in the tank to win it... just! Be happy with a 47-43 or 46-44 win to the Scorpions... but be even better if we sent the Penistone Prowlers back without any points!

Futures bright with the Scorpions

Good meeting, quite enjoyed it... From a scunny prespective, dont think 8 points is enough, but who knows in Speedway!! Some good racing from both teams on a bloody freezing afternoon so thanks to the Ref and riders for getting it over and done with relatively quickly

Edinburgh only agreed to this Sunday and a Sunday in August for their fixtures at the EWR. A meeting I think the Scorpions should win fairly comfortably... 52-38 scunny win

Same equipment is used for PA at Stox and is perfectly fine... must be the announcer.. admittedly, at the EWR, the wind doesn't help our sound system

Went to the Ben Fund too, and the lads I stand with wasn't impressed, but with it being a charity meeting, we didn't expect much... me and the lad I went with really had nothing better to do last night

Ended up going last night, but having being used to watching nail biting meetings at the EWR, this was a polar opposite, I dont think i've ever been so bored at a speedway meeting.. Most races was done and dusted by the back straight.. Wont be going back in a hurry

Scorps to take this 48-42

Think young Josh could be a key rider for us Sunday, ridden Sheff a couple times in the past, and a much better rider than what he was then... Can't see us winning but can see us springing a surprise or 2

Expecting a Sheffield win but would be happy if the Scorpions came away with a point

I'd highly doubt it.. whats the point in paying £500+ per suit, when you can get a set of race jackets made for £350

Looks a quality line up, looking forward to this... Be nice if a Scorpion won it, but happy to support such a fantastic cause

Then why not? Im sure you'll find that if you speak to him, you'll have a changed opinion of the man. He actually wants speedway to have a future (hence all the practice sessions and amateur meetings).. He'll give you an honest answer, hence why imho, is the best promoter in British Speedway
