Kevin Jolly went on record to say that it was Jenkins family protecting his average. Makes perfect sense to me as it'll certainly give him more options next year. I could see him going to Eastbourne over Birmingham if he's not at Mildenhall. Hampshire is someone who I'd be desperate to sign if I was the Mildenhall promotion. The amount that he improved over the season was exceptional and he even beat Jenkins in the challenge meeting, having been nearly half a lap behind in the early stages of the year in the second halves. I can't see Bebee coming back straight away, he'll go in and out of the team next year I'd imagine, if he does in fact decide to return.

Wildcards 2017.....

Expecting Janowski, Pedersen, Emil and Zagar. Wouldn't rule out Hampel or Smolinski just yet although both are not entitled to the opportunitity in my opinion. -
No idea on averages but for Mildenhall: 1 Armstrong 2 Stoneman 3 Coles 4 Bowtell 5 Mountain 6 Hampshire 7 Jenkins 8 Bebee I'd imagine that's the most likely side they'll have although wouldn't be surprised to see Jenkins and Hampshire elsewhere. Can't see many changes whatever happens.

Belle Vue Vs Wolves, Grand Final 2nd Leg, 5/10/16...
Speedway28 replied to Col's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Thought the racing would've been slighter better tonight but the damage was done Monday. The Worrall's and Fricke could've won that for Belle Vue tonight but just not consistent enough. Don't think many people expected too much from Nicholls. He's sure to move on next season now. Poole anyone? Lindgren's move down a straight wasn't great, think Cook was within his rights to have a go. Wish sky would've had the bottle to show the aftermath. Deserved victory for Wolves though, shame Woffinden doesn't help himself with his antics. He's really not a very good role model, needs to learn to be the bigger man at times and set an example. His fall from grace in a few years will be enjoyed by many. Well done Wolves. -
Gutted for Doyle, he clearly deserved to be world champion this year but that's the nature of the sport. From the wording of his statement, it would suggest he's happy to get away with the injuries he has recieved so hopefully the fact he'll still be able to ride next year will help him get over the disappointment of not becoming champion this year.

Danny Ayres A Real Entertainer.
Speedway28 replied to Sidney the robin's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
He rode at Mildenhall in the NL Select meeting last week and from thinking he seemed a bit over the top at the start, he certainly made the meeting more enjoyable with his all action antics. It was quite entertaining watching him celebrate race wins in a challenge in more style than a GP rider winning a Grand Prix but maybe speedway does need more riders like him. -

My guess for Poole will be Newman and Ellis. Kurtz if he's still here. Can't see Zagar turning up either. Just going to be another PLRC really isn't it? -
Mildenhall Vs Nl Select 25th September

What's the reason behind that? I'd have thought Ipswich and Mildenhall could've been the perfect set up if he was to leave Glasgow. -

Could see Ayres at Mildenhall next year if he's not at Glasgow. -

Enjoyed this today. Been to nearly every home meeting this year and the heat 1 race between Ayres and Stoneman was one of the best. Stoneman was impressive, he'll have loads of offers next year dependent on his average. Taylor Hampshire has improved a significant amount recently and I'm sure Mildenhall will be looking to secure him and Jenkins for the reserve berths next year. Ayres is always the entertainer and got better as the meeting went on and deserved to win the trophy. A team including Stoneman, Coles, Mountain, Jenkins, Hampshire/Bebee would be very entertaining next year. -

Need one or two decent NL riders for the Select side to make it competitive. Could've even just put Jenkins in that side. What happened to Luke Ruddick once he was let go for Jenkins and Bebee? Would be good to see him back for the last meeting. Always know when Mildenhall are struggling for riders, they don't put out a press release on the website until very late! -
Any idea what the team line ups are for Sunday? Few names mentioned in the Speedway Star but no full line ups yet?

Mildenhall Fen Tigers Vs King's Lynn Young Stars
Speedway28 replied to secretagentmole's topic in National League Speedway
Think the speedway has been better in recent weeks than yesterday but looked a better track for the riders to race. Nathan Greaves impressed despite his struggles for Sheffield, would happily see him at West Row next year if he moves around again. Interesting comments from Kevin Jolly about Stoneman being considering for next year but Jenkins must be their main target despite him being just 15! I'd have thought he'd have offers from every club throughout the National League but hopefully he'll commit to the Fen Tigers for next season and we'll see both Sam Bebee and Connor Mountain back. -
This year's play offs could be the best yet. Anyone's guess who will win now. I'm sure there will be the usual moans about Poole but this is a fantastic signing and sets up the play offs beautifully for the neutral.

I presume that means Peterborough get first call then? Doubt there'll many guest options with a lot of meeting scheduled for Sunday. I presume that means Peterborough get first call then? Doubt there'll many guest options with a lot of meeting scheduled for Sunday. -
Looking forward to this. Is Ellis available for Eastbourne? Lost out to Halsey in heat 1 at West Row last time but can't see that happening again. Anyway know the reserves for both sides? Would be good to see Brennan and Jenkins head to head.
