Shocking for the Fox Cubs . They should not have lied about David Howard being “ ill” & sacked him. I spoke to David on Thursday he is in fine health & said it is a set up because he is winning more things than the Lions. Seems to me that Jen Crossland just wants to play at being a team manager so they sacked him.

I watched on the stream. It looked very concerning for Birmingham fans. MJJ surprised me with his comments on Sunday that he had come to the UK for some fun & if he enjoys riding his bike he will stay for abit longer ? Which fits into the rumours he is only in the UK until May. He certainly rode last night like he was only here for a casual fun ride on his bike .

There are track working gangs starting this week with a large number of tasks needing to be done for the 2025 season, I am sure your help would be appreciated. One thing you can be assured won’t be replaced is the track lighting , that is because the whole stadium had brand new floodlights installed for the start of last season so they are only 12 months old. There has never been any complaints from riders about visibility due to the lack of light .

Same team as 2024 with Howarth replacing Lawson. We are going to push Birmingham for the wooden spoon with this team. Too many riders like Masters , Cook & Howarth on the decline. Becker should have been first out the door but his connections to the owners means he is back in 25 just shows the owners do not have Leicester’s best interests at heart. We are weaker on & off the track with the loss of Pidcock Motorcycles as stadium sponsor & no sign of a replacement . Not a good time to be a lions fan.

I have to state my pure disbelief at a photo that has just come to light of the Leicester club owners standing on top of the air fence celebrating with the Belle Vue fans when they secured the league title . You have to ask just how committed are the Cairns family to Leicester Speedway when they are so publicly cerebrating when the club they own have just been beaten in the final . It is like a knife in the back of all Leicester fans.

Although I did not attend last night I am told it was a disgrace with dust from the opening race & barely able to watch the limited racing by the end of the meeting the dust got that bad BUT I think Birmingham can only blame themselves for the last heat loss last night . I am told they allowed the Leicester track curator to do all the track grading during the interval after heat 11, Is it purely coincidence that a Leicester rider won 3 of the last 4 races after the interval 🤔🤔 Absolute foolish from Birmingham. If I was a Brummies fan I would be asking serious questions of my promotion for allowing this to happen.

Tonight’s meeting is postponed.

The issue start Marshall’s have got is that you can call them forward but because there is now a clock riders will garden & then sit back until the clock hits 20 seconds then come forward knowing they won’t get excluded .

By far & away the worst meeting of the season at Leicester. No racing at all. Not quite sure if it’s the track or Oxford have been poor

A few of the Brummies riders will be riding for their jobs on Thursday. They been an encouraging performance but Leicester will be too strong. I am looking forward to seeing Milik, Lampart & Pawlicki round Leicester . Although it would not surprise me if one of them didn’t turn up.

Only 1 winner of this match . The weather. I can already see on my ring doorbell that’s it’s raining 3 miles from the track consistently heavy. Why on earth is the meeting still on? can Stewart & Paul not read the forecast ? I have now have no choice but to rush home from work & get upto the track before inevitable announcement is made that the meeting is postponed due to the rain that has been falling since 4pm.

You have to question Leon Flints attitude sometimes . He was totally uninterested last night even before the rain . I would go as far to say he is the most over rated rider in British Speedway

Who are you to “clarify the clubs position” ? All you are is a jumped up commercial manager who clearly thinks he represents the club on every aspect now . Steward staffing has nothing to do you. Maybe let the club clarify their position if it needs to be clarified publicly. People’s private messages should stay private not released into the public. I believe you have crossed the line .

Leicester vs Belle Vue is postponed due to a poor weather forecast.

Dan Thompson did not choose Ipswich over Leicester he had no choice. Each club had first option over their 2023 season ending rising star. Under the rules if a rider refuses a rising star spot then they are not allowed to sign for another club as a rising star. Because Ipswich wanted Dan as their rising star his only decision was ride for Ipswich and do 2 leagues or only ride in the Championship for a club if he can get one. Riders can opt out of the R/S programme amd sign for clubs like Jason Edwards did at Sheffield but if he is dropped he will not be allowed to sign for another club as a R/S nor can he guest as a R/S.

You look at how Sheffield have started their team building (J.Holder,Woffinden C Holder) & look likely to add Josh Pickering & Kyle Howarth. I really fear that the team Leicester have put together will really struggle to challenge that team.

Leicester team is all done & dusted . 3 return from 2023 3 have previously ridden for the Lions in past seasons. 1 makes his debut for the Lions A solid team but nowhere near a title challenging team.

But it does’t work like that. Top doesn’t meet 4th . Top team gets to choose who they want to race in the semi final. IF Leicester make it I think they will pick Leicester

An exciting match in prospect . Wolves come with a fair few riders who seem to like the Leicester track . I am intrigued to see how Cook does on home debut for Leicester. So many times he has come as a visiting rider & been a thorn in our side but you watch him score 1 or 2 points when he wears the Lions race jacket.
