  1. A question about the selected countries? Who come they have choosen Germany over USA. PL, DK, SE, AU and GB are the five biggest speedway countries (in m opinion) and Russia will probably have good chance here but why as I said earlier Germany over USA? I would guess that Hancock together with some other americans could get more points then Smolinski and some other german could. And wouldnt including the US be more in the "Olympic Spirit" with more parts of the world represented? Three continents instead of two?
  2. But where is it possible to find a host willing to take what I assume is a pretty high financial risk to host a GP weekend? And also where can you find a big enough fanbase/interest to host a GP when all the common western european hosts already have a competition?
  3. Normally doesnt speedway.org report the results from the Australian Championships, even thought if I remeber correctly, the Aussie Championship doesnt start until early 2017.
  4. Regarding the team from Hungary competing in the then lowest polish league, hasnt it been a team from Ukraina competing in Poland? How is the situation looking in Norway? Is there a league there?
  5. Isnt there a good chance for a Swede to take home one or perhaps both wildcards to the GP Challenge since Peter Ljung is the only swedish rider that qualified for the Challenge? Depending how the GP series will look like when we get closer to the date I think either THJ (since it is hometrack and he is from the Vetlanda area) or Freddie Lindgren (or both) will get a wildcard to the GP Challenge.
  6. This is perhaps a little bit of-topic but lets givit a try. This Saturday Vetlanda are hosting their regular team-cup where the final will shown live online at several newspapers websites @ 14.00. The majority of the riders are from Sweden and perhaps not best of the Swedish riders except THJ but could be fun to watch for those of you who are interested. http://www.smt.se/article/nyforvarven-till-lagcupen/ Includes the line-ups and more info about the coverage of the event (no idea if it possible to watch outside Sweden).
  7. SVEMO has relased which six riders that are nominated to represent Sweden in the GP Qualifiers: Quali 1 Kings Lynn, GB Fredrik Lindgren and Joonas Kylmäkorpi Quali 2 Slangerup, DK Linus Sundström and Thomas H. Jonasson Quali 3 Terenzano, IT Peter Ljung and Kim Nilsson With Pontus Aspgren has the reserv Source: http://www.svemo.se/sv/Grenar/Speedway/Nyheter/NomineringavforaretillVMochEMKvaliSpeedway2016/ (also contains the nominated riders for the Euro Championship)
  8. Stefan Svensson won the Swedish Championship yesterday at Hallstavik before Ove Ledström, Daniel Henderson and Niclas Svensson. The attendance was just over 4000 which seems to be a good number, atleast according to Mikael Teurnberg from Rospiggarna.
