if the new track is to happen it will not be for a few years and that could be to long to keep a fan base as I have already said. jon did not say that a track on the old site was the only option there were several others but for some reason the developers and council do no like one of them. jon also said there had been a lot of positive phone calls during the day maybe there is someone with the deep pockets needed for it to work is out there. I would like to know what was so special about the phone calls from adam and Richard were about for jon to mention it. re next season if all parties at rye and lakeside can find some common ground then it could work there for the few years needed to keep the club alive of course that's depending on someone stepping up to the plate in the next couple of weeks or the powers that be give the likes of us and Workington an extention of say 3 months to get things in to place wont hold my breath on that one.

sad sad day looks like it well for a few years anyway the only light at the end of the tunnel is stuart saying that Thurrock council are still on board re the new track. maybe they should now come forward and state how viable it really is as if fans are left hanging for years then they will move on to other clubs or other things. I must admit I have let my heart rule my head regarding all this and tried to be positive for the club I love but now sadly it looks like the fat lady is clearing her throat.

very well said as I have said before if lakeside are allowed to do it themselves (no bmr oar in) then the whole experience would be a lot better

if we do end up at rye then the track could be sorted as we have 6.5 tons of arena shale in storage

I miss arena too there have been some great meetings there I have been every one to and I know your entitled to an opinion but a bit of positivity never hurt anyone yes rye was a disaster but bmr kept sticking their oar in if it is left to lakeside people to run it like at the arena then maybe it could be better.and if its out of the other two then eastie for me really don't like kent.

here we go all the moaning minnies can bring their doom and gloom for what will happen next year I for one would like to thank all involved with the club for their hard work and loyalty to the cause this hard long and very troublesome season. so many on here really have no idea how much work is involved in trying to do the best for our team and should be glad we are running at all as for next season hoping for the best but rumours already flying about that we will not be at rye but at kent or Eastbourne instead. I will agree on one thing of which others on here say that an update on the clubs position for next year should be sooner rather than later and a real yes or no to the chance of us getting a new stadium in Essex. I will still follow the team I love wherever they end up and hopefully so will a lot more people. fingers crossed and hoping for the best COYH.

we lost a home advantage going to rye that's what makes the 20 point lead we had more impressive and important

Peterborough must be made to field the same team if possible surely why should they gain from something that was out of both teams hands lakeside have lost an advantage which was an away win and a 20 point lead on the night. if they are allowed to change the team then what a joke as half of the panthers fans on here agree it should not be re run and lakeside should have it. now we have Wednesday only real option if we get through is double header cup/league Workington friday 1st leg c/f Saturday at rye then 2nd leg Workington sunday. plenty of red bull for the boys if so. just hope we can get the well deserved win on Wednesday and justice is served gutted as I cannot make it as already have long standing engagement be the only one I have missed this season COYH.

To true rye should give us a chance of another date why not Wednesdays that's when they as a team were running and they own us big time for failing so badly since we have been there as if right we had a sparky on hand and they did refuse to use him then they owe us on that alone. maybe the promotion should get some legal advice if a contract was signed as surely as hosts rye should have made sure that the toilets had lights and loo paper it was keep clean and most important maintained properly.

to answer a few quotes on here 90% of lakesides problems with staging meetings have been out of their hands the so called powers that be banning 4/5 meetings in the summer the arena owners saying no more meetings after september and now the clowns at rye house saying only 2 slots left after promising oh come to us and finish the season with us and also yesterday lakeside did have an electrician on standby but were told by rye he is not going anywhere near it I for one really feel for the club as I know how hardworking and passionate they are about the club only to be let down over and over again by other parties. sadly I feel the season is done now we will get the wrong call regarding the final and will proberbly not get to finish the workington meetings either sad days for the whole sport. re next season if things do not change big time then its the final nail in the coffin for the sport very sad indeed. and regarding lakeside if rye cant pull their fingers out or at least let lakeside run lakeside it will be madness to run there and that could mean the end of our great club unless Thurrock council come true with their promise of a new track and finally I agree with nick rushbrook stop coming on here gloating and spewing bile keep it for your own forums COYH.
