  1. Birmingham need some help for good of league and sport as a whole. Premiership needs as many clubs as possible to get sport back on upward trajectory again. id say 10 is the number we need to be credible league
  2. I met Emil after British GP at Cardiff around 12 years ago in the services on M4 on way home. He was having some his well earn't dinner and having narrowly missed out on winning the GP earlier. Came over to him and had quick thumbs up consoling him on not winning and said he should have won the meeting. The guy took time out from what he was doing and chatted to us and had some photos with us. He is not only a brilliant Speedway rider , he is a brilliant person too. He surely should have been a multiple World Champion by now. Great to see him back next year. Emil is a Top Man !! See you next year Emil.
  3. Does anyone know when Len's funeral is ?
  4. If that team above get on track with Magic, A GP winner and will be back at full speed in England next year then very impressive line up.
  5. Top Job to Save the Panthers Group. Fight all the way as Coventry. We need The SHOWGROUND & Panthers BACK ASAP !!!
  6. I am a neutrual . Back the Brummies all the way, we need every team we can get to get the Sport back .
  7. Bring in a broadcasting pro to go with Kelvin in box Oli Allen good though to be fair
  8. Bring back Brando and especially Johnathan Greene to liven things up !
  9. Very Sad news. Remember him as a Hawk at Hackney in early 70's, transferred from Rayleigh. Every dog has his day right ? Laurie had his at Plough Lane one night. I am going to say 1971 or 1972, i think most likely the latter. Very much a reserve at Waterden Road, he was not this night though, i was there ! Laurie was flying from the tapes and winning races at Wimbledon ! The Dons, trailing, announced a double tactical substitution , Ronnie Moore and Trevor Hedge !! The King Pins of Wimbledon Speedway. The figured against Laurie Etheridge they would get a five one ? Nope, Laurie flew from the tapes and beat the pair of them. i think he scored 8 or so that night, he was brilliant and the teams unsung hero, Hackney were victorous. RIP Laurie you were a great Hawk..
  10. Kings Lynn. Id love to see this team win the league next year. i think have raced every year since 1965 , been close a few times in top flight but have had atrocious few years. Lets hope they bring Rob back and build a team to challenge for title next year. Long over due and would be good for the sport.
  11. Freddie is one is the best riders in the World recently beating a multi World Champion on his home track of numerous years to win Gorzow SGP and has been a great servant to British Speedway, unlike Laguta !
  12. We can't lose another club. Hope upturn for KL and fans soon.
