  1. Good point. Haven't been in a LONG time, but would Birmingham be an option? Or is there another NL track that would be up to standard? Just thinking out loud............
  2. For a change in this neck of the woods (on a Thursday!) there are no problems with the weather! Just so as you know.........
  3. Is Stead OK to ride following his withdrawal from last night's meeting?
  4. Cracking stuff! Thanks so much for posting. Fisher's move between the Scorpion's pair in the first two bends was sublime, as was the team riding afterwards, but what an effort by all 4 riders, and if it had ended 5-1 the other way no-one could have complained!
  5. Let the mitch-hunt recommence! Would've been funnier if he'd ridden for Ipswich!
  6. I believe Aaron Fox just decided he wasn't ever going to be good enough! That's how I read it anyway.
  7. Judging by today's weather in this neck of the woods, be lucky if it's on. Haven't seen tomorrow's forecast yet though. Will try to let you know early doors how the weather is.
  8. Indeed! Gratz to the Bears! Now, who's next!
  9. Hope this doesn't come back to bite me on the rectum, but I live a mile from the track, the weather has been fine all week, no rain at all, it's currently bright and sunny and the BBC reckons it'll stay that way all day. The weather shouldn't stop THIS one.
  10. Latest weather update - Been no more rain since Boz last posted and, though still overcast, it doesn't look like we're about to get any more any time soon. Assuming the weather of the last couple of days hasn't done any damage (and even then, it's just been like a constant light rain/drizzle rather than almighty downpours) can't see any reason why this one shouldn't go ahead. Fingers crossed but all should be good. Watch it p!ss down now!
  11. I presume you mean "Why, oh why" and have been contributing to the BBC's "Points Of View" for many years. Yep. That's pretty much exactly what happened. On this one I agree with you 99%. It might have been 100% but I follow Redcar, not Edinburgh, so a bonus point knocked off! A final childish, pathetic comment. I'm reacting to this because in your early post(s) you sounded like a decent balanced human being. What went wrong?
  12. Wet stuff around the corner? I can't remember the last time we had a day of dry weather in this neck of the woods!
  13. Apologies! I hadn't noticed it before, and it was dated yesterday (presumably just updated or re-posted yesterday). Nice enough day here so I'll go take a little look at my new local track for the first time!
  14. Just saw this - was posted on the Bears site yesterday! Plenty of notice, eh!? Redcar 'SG Petch' Bears will hold there Press and Practice day tomorrow (Thursday) at the Media Prima Arena starting at 3pm.
  15. Well, you say that, but why hasn't it filtered through to the clubs/promoters after all these years? I've just moved close to Redcar's track and I've seen ONE poster so far - and that was for last year's meetings! Yeah, I know, that's Redcar for you. But I lived in Ware and followed Rye House for 4 years and never once saw an advert/poster for speedway! Many years in Edinburgh, never saw one once. Unless you buy a local paper, in many areas (I can't speak for all, obviously!), you might never know speedway existed!
