Thats because only a few hundred people in the states know what speedway is ! Most would turn up expecting car racing :-)

Dont think it is a popular event anymore. Run it maybe every 2 years and bring some new ideas to the table with it ? Doudt Monster that inpressed with it as branded as there event, then again they got it for free along with the gp series so not to bad a deal :-)

Most people want the special PJR super plastics ones at 5 grand lol.

BSI are interested in money and will do what ever gets bums on seats. Didnt work here as place looked less than half full.

Indeed. Yanks have always been very proud of their nation.The Brits on the other hand, more so the younger ones are not. Could be as there are not many Brits left in Britain.

Well a pretty bland SWC final on a very average track. No real passing to near the end when things got a bit better and last few heats were good. Chechs were good value for money What A LOAD of rubbish and a silly idea to seed host nation to final. The chaps sticking the riders up for last four heats seems very tacky but no less than the rubic cube they used at other meetings. Funny bit was polish chap was to short to reach May we need a set of Monster steps. Time for a rethink on the whole event as old hat now in its current format i believe. Where was the crowd ? Very poor for race off and final no better. Didnt even look half full No doudt Phil will tell us what a success it was and the crowd was there, just hiding under there seats just in case it rained as par for course

Heres my spin on last night, riders, except tia, just not good enough at this level, poor equipment and not motivated enough. They think they are far better riders than they actually are or will be. Very poor show and quite good we didnt make the final, if we had how badly beaten would we have been by better teams ?

Didnt to much for Scott when he brought him into the gp to try and turn his dire performaces round. Would be terrible choice

Maybe Middlo didnt make the best of calls now and then but who should take over ? No one would do any better with the dreadful riders we now have. Team GB is not a world class team anymore, Tia yes but the rest just are not good enough in any shape or form as shown being beaten by very poor teams. Middlo still best for the job but if i was he i wouldnt want it the the above reason.

Its a shame really we dont have a team to fight at the top level, down to british promoters and the bspa. No forward thinking or planning for years, but there you go. Never mind maybe God will step in on our side with Middlo, Come on you BRITS.

Well bit of a boreing meeting i thought. Kennett was dire as he has been every time i saw him this year. Cook tried hard but needs better equipment maybe at this level. USA apart from Hancock not much good either. Lets hope race off and final better Nice to see they found a use for all those old Rubix cubes for the gate selection at the end

Hi Phil, i have not said these riders dont know what there on about, only commented on tatum and briggs. Yes the bikes may be harder to ride but its not all down to the silencer. How about, the riders wanting more power all the time, short stroke high revs. Its supply and demand. Poor track preperation and very low quailty material. Very poor tyre to use. All these and more effect how the bike rides and as i said the riders want quicker bikes which are harder to ride.There are many way to try and help the problem like,good programable ignition systems, better engine design. The green want quiet so loud exhausts wont return. Has anyone looked at injuries since say 2000. Is there more riders being hurt ? May pay to look at this and see if there is an increase across the board in the last 10 years ? On a side note, who knows at the age of 17 if i had chosen a differant path i may of been a world champion contender, as i was offered a works ride by cagiva. I have also riden a speedway bike when we hired newport a few years back,yep i was crap and indeed went over the bars, but with maybe a few million laps might of got half decent lol.So yes i understand they are not easy to ride at all without these recent problems.

I take it your some sort of pratt them Phil living in the past, a bit like others you mention. You dont know my background and i tell you now, i will go up agaist Tatum anytime, regarding BIKE,CAR,BOAT,PLANE engines or Lifts as i KNOW my stuff.

I thought they didnt even have silencers when Briggs last rode ? Problem not the silencer but the 30 year old design air cooled motor. Tatum still a twit though and talks rubbish

You are right their should be passing on the inside, but we want it on the outside as well. The smaller tracks and indoor should provide this, not poland really. We want a bit of both and this can happen with good track prep.
