  1. looking forward to my first gp since cardiff and a long time since been abroad to one. love the area and staying a week as normal. should be fun
  2. indeed it should with the form he is displaying.
  3. As i have been away for the weekend just watched the gp. i thought it was very good meeting all round. very tight field and think its going to be a vintage year. The silencer didnt cause any probs and if anything brought the racing closer. The poles generally went very well on them even though there so DANGEROUS Roll on the next gp i say.
  4. i dont always agree with things as mr rising does and he isnt my cup of tea but he is right here. one, the riders in sgp are all on a good income overall from racing. two, they secure good sponsorship from being in the gp. three, they dont lose out going to a gp money wise if they do badly. its down to the riders to use being in the gp for there advantage. when we helped hans he was on a bonus for 1st,2nd and third in the g.p. this was pretty much the same as the gp paid. so if he done well he done ok overall out of it. i expect he had similar deals with other sponsors. if people think there hard done by think again. we have a deal like this with our rider in sgp this year. its down to the rider to use being in the gp to bring more money in. look at mx1, mx2, no start money and no prize money and ama supercross which is far bigger than sgp and they pay rubbish prize money.
  5. people are not always negative. dont think auz or nz are sustanable. the sport is not even big in these places. its a good product keep as is and maybe look elsewhere for new venues. dont think time is right at moment. we were longest serving sponsor bsi had . took a year out as it had got stale i thought, 2010 was good again with the changes so were be back in 2011,thats not negitive.
  6. think nz will be one hit wonder if happens, bit like aus was but that had no wonder. gave most tickets away to look busy they have a good product and series, leave it as is.
  7. tony r did it with ulmek and whats him name tried it with crump and kris before he ran off with the cash tatum most prob put them off as one of the most boring men in speedway.
  8. PHERHAPS its to FAR away. SGP in not F1. Always been a fan of series but i wouldnt go that far to watch.
  9. nice place to go, doudt any money to be made for the promotor though.
  10. seems to me you have an answer for everything yep bored the pants off me now. time to move on, bye
  11. ya could be right but hey everyone to there own. if it does well it does if not dont think he is short of a bob or two everthing now a days costs one way or another. karting is a money pit, i did it years ago and to be at the front was dear. friends of mine do it and spend approx 60k on there boy a season. now thats losing money unless he hits f1 one day.
  12. no idea never had a clothes shop but looks like john thinks it is.
  13. is karting for people who dont have a fast road car
  14. it is the same, motocross is the prime example. countrys domestic racing lose out to the gp in exactly the same way. maybe if the bspa had looked further than there nose at the start it may be differant but its to late now, all they tried to do was hinder the sgp and now its going ok want a bit of the action. sgp is here to stay, can you say the same about brish speedway ? reading was good and the money was not the problem, john had a dislike for the bspa and also knew the track was closing and moved it on. thats good commercial sense to me. the people who bought it didnt have a clue as if they did they would of knew what was going to happen. dearest pound they ever spent i reckon
  15. think there is, didnt sponsor them in 2010 so in my book was free none of the money comes out my pocket at all, company and 100% tax deductable so oh ! free again. " is the word bloke, pikey slang "
  16. and miss out on a free room, free box, free food, free after part, yes your right i will stay home and paint me nails
  17. what is the answer, drop top riders and bring in others. all top motorsport has the same riders and drivers and lots of events. i think it runs well, yes a rain off indoors bit strange but was it a rain off i was the meeting sponsor with 20 clients there but hey ho they made it up for us for this. if it was british speedway it would of been on ya bike got ya cash sod off all motor cycle racing of gp level takes prioty and always will. stop blaming bsi for the crap state of speedway in the uk, if they were in control it would be bust by now.other sports work round it so why not speedway
  18. Is it have a pop at me time ? I say it how i see it as others do. If my bubble bursts so be. The sgp is very well run and by people who dont stitch you up. The riders pay is ok but could be better. The thing is all the top riders want to be in it and would ride for free as they do in MX1 and MX2. Even ama supercrosss the winnings are low. All these riders have good sponsors so there not bothered about the prize money they want to be champion. bsi are building it up steady and made a nice 1.6 million profit last year so must be doing summit right
  19. you crack me up bloke and i am not a cow to be milked either. as you say i have my opinion and you have yours. i have seen both sides of the fence and know what side i prefer to be on. lets hope ya bubble does not burst to soon.
  20. whats the differance. the elite does not have many top riders anymore. the gp does. its a differant track every gp and not the same one week in and week out. elite in the uk is rubbish and that is why i dont go.
