Thought crowd was pretty good for speedway. Bit like Cardiff with the top part empty. Never gona fill it but if stays at this level think bsi will be happy. -
Where has all the sky money gone over the years. Where has the investment been which would of had sky chomping at the bit to resign a deal at a higher figure ? I think we all know what has happened to it. No forward planning by the bspa or promoters in any shape or form.

The chips are certainly down then.

Agree don't think we do need another Brit as we will have the WC and can see him being just as strong next year. Harris would just be an embarrassment and the SGP does not need him. -

British Speedway wont get anything out of it and deserve nothing as it is a shambles, run by monkeys.Speedway is not a marketing tool, more so in the Uk than any other EU nation. 2013 wc Tai British through and through, just hope they dont raise the flag like the tat on his back -

Well my first gp in a while. Must say was very good. I found the transport to and from the staduim via train was excellent and to the airport. Only 100 mtr from hotel to station and centre of town. Staduim was very nice like a mini cardiff and the vip food was great. Thought the track held up well and produced good racing all night. ( hope Mr G is fine ) Would def go again to this one. Nice to meet up with all old BSI friends and phil and dave at the hotel. Overall very good trip and big thanks to bsi for sorting it all for us, top job. Track had nothing to do with crash, Tai lifted a bit and hit Gollob who then highsided. Very nasty crash and lets hope all will be ok for both riders. -
Will It Be The Same With Woffy?

We use to lead the world in many thing years ago but like speedway it is a shadow of its former glory. Life stands still for no man or sport. The sport has been ruined by those running it for all these years and they should hang their head in shame. -

I think you only have to look at the chap to see why many dont like him. On a positive side has turned himself round and rode very well indeed and should be WC this year and will be deserved.

Its a date then -
Abroad speedway is still very popular and young kids want to ride a speedway bike. You see them hanging round the pits or at practice sessions. They dream to be a speedway rider and some are lucky to make it. In the UK kids just dont seem interested in speedway or other motor sports and dont dream of being the next big thing or world champion. The lads coming over from motocross are good and find they can earn a living from speedway where they cant in motocross. I dont think they will world class but good riders. Maybe its the times now as i find all young people i know dont even want to go watch let alone ride. My boy is now just 13 and i would love him to ride motocross or speedway but just not interested He rode motocross and had good abilty at 5, he wanted to ride everyday and i had to take him down the back field, but just said one day no thanks and bikes just sat there. I think lots of other parents must have the same thing. Kids just want play tennis, criket football and so on. Speedway just does not appeal now to them or large numbers of kids, as i dont think its seen as cool or a long term thing. Its a pity really as there are many good UK companies to back the right people but its getting the right people to back.

For once i agree, or maybe twice. the track was very good and fair, best i seen for a long time. Didnt pass as the talent in front was world class and too fast. -
You cannot compare speedway to Premier football in any shape or form. Football is very popular and attracts big money and sponsors. You forget i sponsored lots a riders. One example, top uk rider doing poland and sweden. After paying all bills, tax and himself a good wage all year. Banked £80.000 net. Not to sabby i think for doing something you like. Others have earnt much more and some much less. The idea with speedway to to get as much as you can free from suppliers and sponsors and keep the money you earn. The cost of top tuners could be cut. Everyone stop using them and then they would have no work. PJR and such are not worth the money riders spend but it is supply and demand. Its just a circle, riders want faster bikes, go to top tuners. They hike the price as people want to use them and so it goes on. Maybe the speedway star should start a help the riders fund and pay towards their costs, after all they have made a fortune out of the speedway fan over the years. Chirping ? All i can say is either you or img tell porkies then. Dont really care which it is, just stateing what has been said. Believe what ya want Phil. Anyway how have we gone off topic. WTC was pretty pants

But this is no more expensive than other forms of motorcycle racing and far cheaper than some. If you cannot afford to ride, then dont. There is so much made of this and that we should pity them,Why ? The TOP riders earn a furtune for working 8 months a year. The lesser riders can ride speedway, earn a living and then work in the winter to pay for new bikes and parts. They have a good life style getting paid for what they like doing and its there choice. Little bit to much they want the fun and someone else pay for it for my likeing ! Should put their hand in their OWN pocket now and then. I fancy a new Ferrari, wonder if any of the riders, clubs, sgp want to chip in help an old poor sponsor. No doudt it. You want something, pay for it.

Slightly differant i think. People know what footballers earn and so on. Most in the sport know roughly what top speedway riders earn and its quite a bit. Yes there are dangers but so is there in other sports with engines and without. Monster provide all the razz and so on but no cash. Bsi want the association to try and bring in big paying players. Monster want to sell more drinks and get more fans of the brand. This came from the top so believe it or not, up to you but why woulld they lie or is that just everyone in speedway Oh and before you ask, no i dont earn enough and should be on more
