oh you twisted me arm i better book up now might do odd gp abroad in 2012 but were see. if it wasnt for the money spent by the polish and the english gp the series would fail i believe. i cant for the life of me see why the polish citys use speedway to try and bring prople in to stay. yes there are lots of lovely polish citys but not many would want to go there on holiday. Bydgosh for start is looking at coming back but place is a bit naff for things to do. poland is the last place speedway is still a bit popular and throw large amounts off cash at it but how many more years will it last as they get more and more modern.

whats music got to do with speedway bit like saying cardiff sold out for the football so it will for the sgp no i havnt done much reserch but as far as i know there is pretty much nothing going on domestic wise in nz and not many riders coming out of nz at present.

if they do get hooked where they going to go to watch speedway then as i believe there is very little if any in nz

i dont think it would be plus with no roof as such i would not go to wembly to watch. great stadium but crap area it is in. cardiff however now a bit old hat, racing bit boring now track has no holes in it whole event very stale and not what is was a few years ago. only thing to have improved is the aftershow party food but still not as good as the old bsi days in the hilton i say every year were not going again but were not 100% in 2012 .

moved forward, maybe in cost of dirt and storage but presentation is no better really than old bsi days. i have seen no real step forward apart from odd little thing and this is what the public see. transponders, why waste more of my time. they have all the costs and they would not really have gone up much. did talk about it in sweden but went no further a bit like the gp did . nz and aus, see your point about this but cant really see either making real money unless subsidised by a third party. dont think the sgp is big enough to go this far or popular enough in these places.

The transponder system is not expensive. I put a package togeather a few years back for the system including flights, staff ,install of loop at every track and left nothing to chance but they didnt want to pay i spent a lot of time on it and sorting postion of transponder. very easy to do and cheap. all school boy motocross i go to have them so what DOES that say about the sgp. show me where it has moved forward and the investment from img ? Aus wont make money like NZ .

I know what you are saying but practice has to have a meaning. Even if it is gate pick for the fastest riders on race day. Transponders are the way to go as i have said for years. This would also remove the stupid red line on the finish line for a close heat and the stop watch timing which is not accuarate. Regarding the advertizment on a rider it is a package of both domestic and sgp, which if a rider is hurt early on you will lose most of this for the year unless you do several riders. To us this would not hurt income as speedway generates none and never really has, its a fun thing. I still believe the sgp is the best thing for speedway but it needs new ideas and staff like they had in the past to push if forwards and not backwards.

Bad news i am afaid. Anyone wishing to travel is the plane is now full. The pilot of the six seater piper leaving bournemouth airport has confirmed this along with the 36 stops for fuel If enough interst is show his mate has a tiger moth which could accomadate another traveller but be quick as rumour has it speedway star travel club are after it

there is not the interest were led to believe and it is going down not up. why is bsi worried about the age of the fans and level of support ? at the rate it drops due to not many new fans coming into speedway what will the crowds be like in some 15/20 years ? its not popular and now poland has been in eu for a bit and standards have gone up a lot have moved on from speedway. ask most polish people in the uk about it and wont know what your talking about. i love the sgp but without new ideas and a new generation of fans it will be dead in the water in the near future.

looking at the talent around i would put holta in for the year. is quick and can beat the best on his day.

speedway week brings a lot into cardiff money wise on gp week. also it is the cash cow which funds bsi for year .

wife not interested, kids not interested, friends who use to be there most are not now, elite racing generally boring,not poole but visiting teams. lots of other things to do which are less expensive

very good post and spot on.british speedway is dieing on its knees.british culture is always blame some one else or thing as reason.sgp is by no way perfect but is the way forward i believe, right or wrong. all this talk of running gp in week and so on will never happen. i take clients and they wouldnt go in week so what would be the point of being a sponsor ? i must admit poole is on my door step and i sponsored the club and many riders there in the past but i only go two or three times a year now.

the reason being i only watch sgp or elite meetings. same as i dont watch F2 or division 2 football. these riders would not be in the gp as they are not of a high enough standard.
