i agree, 4am is far to early 9am be even better

bit to far for me to travel i am afraid for speedway

i would of thought it would be the normal double act pearson and tatum wouldnt matter if he was 15 time nz champion he is only an average standard premier league rider, plus the oposition cant be that good if he keeps winning but as you say there part time riders and no one else seems bothered about riding in it. still a very poor choice for the wildcard but i expect that from the bsi now.

i wont be getting up that early to watch. record it and watch in the evening then you can fast forward all the boring bits

think maybe one day i will write a book about the behind the scenes sgp, might be a few red faces all round from the top to the bottom for once i agree with one of your posts. yes your right, bsi will only promote an event they know will make cash, ie cardiff. others are sold to local club promoter so its down to them to get bodies in to make money and bsi are ok .

didnt help in germany though did it. surprized they didnt use all the unsold tickets to soak the moisture up with god just thought another gp i sponsored didnt run.

100 % agree. bunyan is a very averge rider and not even of elite standard in the uk. even with the best equipment under him he would go no faster as he is not a quick rider. very poor choice and makes the bsi look silly. i not a fan of the aussie riders at all but watt is a good rider and a good chap.

Just seen this, someone tell me this is a joke. bunyan in a gp! I think the bunyan on me grans foot will get more points than he will. Use to have a lot of respect for the gp people but not anymore. give umm 10 years tops till its finished unless img sell it on to someone with a clue. always comes back to the commercial side phil. i think the commercial side of bsi/img is badly run. this is mainly down to the people in that department. about time paul sorted them out.

best to go say bydgosh, pick the visting team and you will get a cracking match and a fun afternoon with the fans gdanz is also lovely place to stay like wroclaw.

If you want great racing go to a home meeting in poland rather than a gp. same city but cheaper than on a gp date and better racing. pick ya own time/weather and vast amount of tracks to visit. you will be amazed how fast and close the racing is.

taliking rubbish what sports ? and what motor/motor cycle sport does this ? if sweden end up winning it will just put another nail in the coffin.

i dont think this should be a yearly event. maybe every 2 years would make it more interesting ? also sweden being seeded to the final is a real joke, cant see that happening in other sports

i think a lot of speedways problems are because it is a working mans sport. dont think you can say motocross or supercross is inferior to speedway for entainment as it is not.

I am a very happy chap thanks Phil . We have been every year for as long as i can remember. Sponsored it twice and had at least 2 boxes for the last five years or more. It is not just me but friends and clients empoyees and family have all said how the event has not moved on and is getting a bit boring. The pre event entertainment is terrible now and has been getting worse. This i know for FACT is down to cost. The racing has suffered as the track surface has got better. Good for the riders not for the racing. Last year was the first year i went to the fan zone, sorry i did forget the name of it. Ages between 5 and 60 and a dozen of us. No one thought it was very good. Now maybe i am not your normal speedway fan but it is MY veiw the event is not what it was and has not moved forward one bit since it started in Cardiff. Yes the event is good but it should of moved forward. Maybe my standards are to high or i expect to much ? This event is a big earner for BSI and one of the few they promote themselves.However rather than making such a big profit here to off set against the smaller loss making ones why not spend a bit more on the event and make it really special And yes, none of us will be going in 2 12.

the the problem is cardiff is now a very expensive weekend. the hotel prices are jacked up and not worth the money. the event is worse than several years ago both racing and entertainment. the atmosphere outside has dropped and the little event they put on which i cant remember in the side street is dreadful. really need to up there game in 2 12 as going down hill fast.

Think you put the wrong word in there and its not Dane Lets hope he does not injure himself again on his motocross bike sorry tree root before the season starts. Be lucky to make top 8 i reckon, but i could be wrong

unless you know nothing about speedway, customer service and was born with a plum in ya mouth ya got no chance ok 100 quid then. i been there for speedway, football, rugby and take that concert and hotel prices all gone up or have i just been unlucky

If it be cardiff or london, they all jack the cost up for any event not just speedway. This is normal and wont change. Cant afford it ? Dont go. Or get a job at the BSI and go for free.

I 100% agree on the roof with you as it means meetings what ever country will go ahead. Not disillusioned with speedway at all as it is a great sport to watch but more the people running it. They all let you down in one way or another as do the riders, one still owes me money from three years ago. Was a nice bit you ran in the star recently where he says he puts ambition ahead of money well i can second that
