I think we all knew this gp would lose money. over the 3 years he will be very lucky to break even at best. the crowd was good but i dont think it will rise much above this over the next 2 years. he needs sponsorship money but is there many companies or real interest for him to get any ? dont really see why gov / tourism should alway be looked at to fund it ala poland and such. bsi only promote very few gp where they know a profit is 100% guranteed. if you remove tourism and product sponsors they have few few left. this has always been bsi policy but maybe its about time they had the balls to take a risk with events and not always expect others to lose money. my experance with them is they hope to get pretty much for free or at no risk to the bsi coffers yes at events where they get can get maximum cash they do and hold out for it. at others they are quite cheap. a bit like gp sponsorship, cardiff is very expensive where sweden and italy are very cheap as no one wants to sponsor umm

only joking about selling it might raffle it for charity along with all the signed bike front covers from the sgp when i get 5 mins.

dont agree, very very rare for that to happen. has to be better than an old chap with a stopwatch and a super inposed line on the screen. yet another reason speedway is seen as a joke

if the bsi brought in transponders full time which they keep saying is going to happen there would never be a dead heat situation.

should make no differance. he is a pro and if anything should of rode better. as i expected did nothing but turn up. so it seems will be preety much the same faces up front this year. gollob looking fast, good gp to kick start the season and great crowd for them . looking like we know who will be near the tail end come the end of season , gona be plenty racing for third and forth what was them start girls on, must a been summit monster, they were terrible

of course it will be great for the sgp but for how long who knows. domestic speedway apart from poland will not really gain anything and the uk deff wont as all run by self centerd people. And the gov body are pants. you are right they dont retain sponsors long term and as i said before they take ya for granted, poor service now and most of their staff suck

does cause problems in motocross/supercross. in states monster very big but KTM always been sponsored red bull. same with riders, bubba stewart has red bull but kawasasaki he rode for sponsored by monster. forced to drop red bull so left kawasaki. in europe red bull more high profile in same sports but alot a teams riders events now spons by monster. as a former sponsor the bsi dont like riders and commentators using the sponsors name or products which is in complete contract to other forms of motocycle sport. could it be they will get even less now they have caught the big one

I cannot see it going ahead without outside backing and sponsors, but then again maybe BSI are now ready to take a risk. Wouldnt have thought it will make much money though. Perhaps it will be a three leg tour in 2013, NZ / AUS/ USA then back to EU for rest of season. Overall maybe be profitable to do that way and highten the sgp exposeure.

your right, a gp in the states would be great but as you say the bsi wont fund it like most events. with the right people and advertising would be well supported and make cash, however it could very well lose a lot so bsi wont want to take the chance without a backer.
