Poole v Leicester Prem A. 30/5/18
Mr Bump replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You were obviously scared to death of facing the mighty roar of the Lions. And judging by our last 2 away performances rightly so -
Just a tad on the dusty side though
-
Really pleasently surprised by the whole team performance, including the guests. Didn’t see us winning that meeting. Bjerre couldn’t seem to get out of the gate all night, bike issues maybe & his brother was in the pits helping quite a bit too. But I’d like to have seen him in heat 15. Pushed Thorssell real close in heat 13, fancy he might have got us a 3-3. Good 3 points though against a strong team.
-
Yep he’s definitely in the lineup. As is Kyle Howarth for the Wolves too.

King's Lynn vs Leicester KO Cup 2nd leg 16-05-2018

Looking at the original line-ups of both teams, the stars would be missing only NKI whilst we’d be missing only Hans Andersen when this date was pencilled in. Whilst that’s still far from ideal maybe some thought that was a fair compromise. At the time anyways. -
If he isn’t fit for Monday it’ll be double trouble as Hans Andersen is also unavailable! We never manage to field the same 1-7 twice Ever.
-
Lasse or Nicolai Klindt most probably!
-
I agree Nilsson would be great if necessary, but we can’t reinstate him to the team without permission from SCB management committee. Whoever they may be. Wishing a speedy recovery for Danny though.
-
I’m assuming Kurtz is permanent as Bates & Palm Toft have almost the same average. Bates’ return would now put us over the dreaded limit with Bjerre in the team?
-
Harsh as it would be, swapping JS for a 2 pointer at number 7 seems a likely outcome? Opens it up to having a 9 point ish average top man?
-
If it’s a signing that will divide Lions fans then it must surely be the second coming of Bjarne Pedersen
-
Robert Lambert guests on Monday in place of Martin Vaculik.

Exactly. The idea of allowing riders from each team to feel track conditions on the bike beforehand would likely have prevented the subsequent problems. Can’t believe that would be difficult to implement. Hope someone’s listening.
-
The only thing that’s important in all of this is surely that a rider has been seriously injured. Plus another rider pretty bruised up too. And perhaps it’s lucky it wasn’t worse than that. All this ‘my dads bigger than your dad’ stuff on here is cringing and missing the point. British speedway needs to learn from this..
-
Some interesting comments from Danny King about tonight’s events on the Lions website. Certainly makes the Polish way of testing the track conditions beforehand seem possibly the right way to go. Accidents in speedway sadly will always happen, some testing to minimise risks when conditions look iffy makes sense.

Must of been in the last fortnight then, because I attended press & practice day plus the Somerset match and it looked just the same to me -
Leicester vs Somerset Monday 26th March Challenge

Definitely agree RR does us no favours, reserves taking 3 of the 4 rides. Really good crowd though, Pieszczek excellent, Andersen even better plus had a nifty orange light on his bike which is a first! Decent start. -
How will Martin Vaculik fare in the U.K.?
Mr Bump replied to Sidney the robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I agree. Also very pleased he’s chosen to ride for us and not against us! -
True. Maybe our supposed pre-season challenge match could be against Sheffield though. That would be fun.
