  1. Jeez that's a wee bit hasty isn't it? Give the chap a chance to settle in a bit. Last night was a bad day at the office for all the team.
  2. I remember that day too. And how sad it felt at the time. Speedway does not quite seem the same when it vanishes from your home town. Would not want to see that happen to Coventry supporters. As fans of speedway we should be more united. I'll get off me soapbox now.
  3. Well Walasek is riding in the same Polish league one side as Paddy Hougaard and comfortably outscoring him every week.....but who knows.... Maybe we should tap up Mr. Claudio Ranieri for some advice on man management skills, he seems half decent
  4. Well I have the fortune to be on holideeee in the Isle of Skye at the moment and after 5 pints of Punk IPA & 3 drams of Lagavulin you Pirates are gonna get tonked on Monday night, I reckon 50-28, or maybe even 52-26, that was a thrashing in my day....and we was crap at football back then too...
  5. Well that is very true. Reading the words of this man advising Mr.Porsing however, you could conclude he will be voting for brexit!
  6. Porsing to concentrate only on riding in Europe according to post on Peterboro' thread. From his manager I think
  7. I was under the impression this forum was to discuss all things speedway, not to comment on an individual's choice of body art. Blimey
  8. Certainly not being condescending, just adding to the usual dross I post on here with some ironic comments. I am a lions fan, a repeat of last years Doyleless surprise victory would be most welcome, if unlikely. I'd settle for a battling performance if nowt else
  9. Paul Starke up to number 2, Klindt drops to number 6 with Auty now at 7. Hmmm. Time will tell how that affects the Lions. Stars fans should be quaking in their boots though...
  10. Well I parted with my tenner and stood by the 4th bend watching the whole thing. Whilst the first 8 or so heats were pretty dull, the latter half of the meeting was decent enough. Riders much closer, a reasonable amount of overtaking. Not fab but ok. Guess we all see things differently though. Having said that watched Sunday's Torun v Zielona Gora last night, great track, top riders on each side, sod all overtaking, very dull meeting. So perhaps its not just Leicester after all...
  11. The answer is 42 is it not? The answer to life, the universe and everything....
  12. Blimey. Has a simple thing like speedway always been this complicated?
  13. Agree the crowd was a disappointment compared to the same fixture last year, but the atmosphere was far and away the best this season. First half of meeting lacked overtaking, second half much better, much closer racing. Above all else though, the Lions deserved the win, didn't think I'd say that this year, and just for tonight at least that's good enough. Marvellous.
  14. A not so whopping as it used to be 302 metres. Lost a surprising 15 metres due to alterations.
  15. If Doyley has a bit of an off night, if Paddy scores well again, if Mr.Summers does well on his debut, if the reserves keep up their excellent form.....we may only lose by less than 12. Result!
  16. As a supporter of Leicester, I can't honestly say our admittedly strong reserve pairing have helped us have a change in fortune. We still lose matches. Alot
  17. Certainly no shortage of Aussies on view on Wednesday then. Strewth!
  18. All Mr.Summers has to do is score at least 1 point against Swindon and we'd be a stronger team for it. Onwards and upwards because we certainly can't go any further downwards.
  19. Having witnessed first-hand our now infamous drubbing last week by those Hammers of Lakeside, I can only see us on the end of another right spanking courtesy of the Aces tomorrow. Especially when not very track specialist Mr.Zagar isn't in attendance. Sincerely hope though the lads prove me wrong and put up a fight! It's all we can ask for.
  20. It would appear the Belle Vue promotion have called this meeting off as they are running scared at the prospect of facing a full strength Lions side. Obvious really.
  21. And they both were picked to ride in heat 15. Seriously
  22. Wow!! That was 18 quid well spent. At least to view the dedication & professional attitude of the Lakeside team anyway
  23. One could predict with utmost certainty Mr.Walasek is not exactly a fan of the Arena track
  24. Would love to believe that numbers 2,3,4 & 5 for the lions can't perform any worse than last night. Think it could go down to the wire
