  1. Kasprzak or no Mr.Kasprzak it was the largest crowd by far at Leicester last night. Plus some decent close racing. Makes me wonder more why the powers that be insist on running meetings when we're barely out of winter. Nice sunny evening seems to bring the crowds
  2. Was some good racing. Good crowd too. Shame no Kasprzak as he's great round Beaumont Park. Top effort from both sets of riders despite the meeting not having much riding on it. Just hope the Lions promotion get their act together so we can do it all over again next year!
  3. Well it's unsurprisingly been called off. Now all you pirate fans can stop worrying about what the mighty lions might do to your play-off hopes. I can tell by the posts on this thread how concerned you all were.
  4. Totally impressed with Adam Roynon if he can manage two pints whilst riding a speedway bike. Top man
  5. I agree. Sadly history shows the Leicester promotion have a track record of getting not an awful lot right at all. Shabby.
  6. Message just appeared on Leicester speedway website about retaining your ticket for future admission. Nothing about a refund though sadly.
  7. Another last heat decider could be on the cards.....we may just sneak it....or maybe not. I'll find a fence to sit on
  8. I believe you're absolutely right. However I don't think Leicester are trying to pull a fast one. Either way up we're doomed I tell you, doomed
  9. It's certainly a triumph for the fixture planning/ re-scheduling/ sitting round desks twiddling thumbs type people that pretend to organise British speedway. Marvellous.
  10. Yep. All 3 riders on premier league duty according to the Belle Vue website. Makes me wonder why the meeting is even taking place
  11. Didn't want to mention the referee. Touchy subject round these parts. Somebody might hit me with a whopping great fine.
  12. I know. At this rate I could get roped in to doing the announcements, grading the track or being official timekeeper as I'll have the place to myself
  13. Me too. I'm going on Monday also, be nice if anyone else on this forum would let us know they're attending, might be a bit crap on my own
  14. Second home meeting running where the opposing team seems to have possibly bent the rules a wee bit, to make their team line-up stronger. Or at least been very cunning in their strategy. Weird thing is though, it's not like the lions are actually any bloomin' good home or away
  15. Absolutely. Was happy to give him time, but in 3 home meetings I watched him in he could not get it round turns 1 & 2 at all. Would be 30 yards behind after half a lap. Clearly doesn't like the track. Shame because he seems a decent bloke who can obviously perform better. Do feel the Lions will once again end the season with the most out-going riders on the averages chart and still achieve very little. Ho-hum
  16. Decent signing. His effort and enthusiasm were obvious against Swindon. Quick race winning times too. Not sure what position he'd be riding in though?
  17. Well all this might help to explain why he had a face like a slapped arse at Beaumont Park on Saturday. No winners coming out of this situation. Grim
  18. He barely completes a lap at Lakeside. Having watched Davey Watt tootling around at the back last night though, I don't think it's possible for us to do worse
  19. I know. Was being heavy with the sarcasm there. The door is still open for his return however, plus we don't have to visit Lakeside again this year, thankfully!
  20. Is it time for the return of Lakeside & Wolverhampton track specialist Mr.Walasek?
  21. Can't see a Lions win without Mr.Wozniak. He was good for double figures against Swindon last time, including a great win over Doyle. Both reserves scored well too. Don't see where those points will come from with our line-up tonight. However after Thursday we'll probably cruise it by 10 points. And Jamie Vardy won't sign for Arsenal either. One can dream...
  22. I have no idea about all this 'lowering his average' stuff regarding Davey Watt. What I can say from my view standing on the first bend all evening, I saw a rider with very little confidence in his ability to compete. Sad to see. You can only hope that confidence will return at some point.
  23. I know us Lions are a bit of a crap team, but to describe us as 'loins' is a bit of a cheek
