  1. Spot on. Anyways, back to Leicester. Our future could be secured this week if all goes well, according to speedwayGB Twitter feed. Cripes.
  2. Carry on up the Khyber may well provide no less of a laugh than following Leicester at this rate
  3. I agree it was. I had to have a sit down after the Kings Lynn meeting, such was the amount of overtaking going on
  4. I've got a shed full of inflatable cushions that I'd be willing to hire out or sell for a reasonable fee.....guaranteed to stay inflated for at least as long as your average speedway meeting....
  5. Are we not still in the 80's? Shame. John Titman was in the country last week, could still probably do a job for us at no.1...
  6. Nice one. I'll bring me old Honda C50 too, just in case we're short of a rider or two, or maybe more..
  7. Cool. Always wanted to watch him at work on his tractor anyways
  8. Agree with that. Lions fan since 77, through thin, thinner and now waffer bleedin thin. If by chance we do have a team running next year, it already looks like being a side composed of riders nobody else wants. Meaning probably even lower attendances and more grief for all concerned. It's not looking too great. Having said that like a fool I'll still be there.
  9. All premiership and championship teams must have a minimum of 2 British riders in their team in 2017. Blimey
  10. Have a look at the SpeedwayGB twitter feed. All is revealed on there....
  11. The "odd football club"? Ahem. Only the home of the current Premier League champions so we are 😆
  12. Reckon you're right there. We haven't had a team in the elite,as yet, that can win it's home matches on a regular basis. Just not been competitive. If we can manage to field a stronger outfit, combined with a stronger promotion & presence, I reckon we'll see healthier crowds. Worth a go.
  13. Happy enough with that. Would prefer premier on a Saturday night, but if its got to be Elite, then midweek it has to be. As it should have been when we first moved up.
  14. Let's hope so. The mantra from Mr.Darcy is certainly to wait till after the Annual General Muppetry, sorry Meeting, has solved all the problems of British speedway. Magic.
  15. Nope. Apparently there will be speedway at Leicester next season, and it will be in the 'Elite' league. Blimey
  16. Well that's something to be positive about at least. As long as it's not on a Saturday night again.
  17. As of now not sure a Leicester Lions 2017 thread has any validity to it. Very disheartening for all supporters of Leicester speedway. Bugger.
  18. Leicester have certainly in the past not posted their line-up at all before some meetings. Funnily enough its usually the season-ending one too!
  19. We'll there's less than 72 hours to go. And no word of a postponement. Yet. It couldn't actually take place, could it?!?!?
  20. There's certainly a few people likely to be involved who could do with a rocket up the arse.
  21. It's taking place in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, at the 'start' of November. Whatever that exactly means.
  22. Have a feeling though this meeting will not be Leicester v Kings Lynn. More like Leicester 'select' v almost a Kings Lynn team. Oh well, better than nowt I suppose.
  23. With you on that. Last week was well peed off with the situation, but now just hoping the meeting takes place & we can show our support. Onwards & upwards and all that
