  1. The top four we have i am very happy with alot of teams will have riders of the ability of Zach/ James so we should be fine. Dawid if he can score 4 or 5 points i will be happy a gamble but one worth taking heat 13/15 we are going to be hard to beat.
  2. Looking at the averages how false does Ash Morris figures look i felt as a rider he really has improved.Even in the top five he was battling away hope he can progress again.
  3. I might not agree with all the thing's Ford has done over the years but you have to give credit for the success he has had over a prolonged period.Nothing would give me greater pleasure if Poole can get there track sorted Lisa because i have enjoyed going to Poole over the years especially the 1980s.
  4. Your best bet is for your club to get the track right first before you worry about winning.!!!
  5. Personally Ray all i want is to be entertained if the team do well fine that is a added bonus. In recent years the racing at Swindon has been poor hopefully with a different shaped track that might help in that regard.Speedway is an entertainment sometimes people forget that and some fans are prepared to watch dross as long as the team is winning.
  6. He is not bitter about it like myself did not agree with it then and feels the same now. This is one of the biggest problems we have in British speedway stupid rules no continuity and a win at all costs mentality.Around that period if you look back Ford had a nightmare bringing in the likes of Kennett, Lahti, Starke, Zengota, Worrall, ( ect) switching riders mostly out of desperation.
  7. That is not the point he is British and was pushed out, Jackobsen could be decent Nielsen did well but i am not a fan glad Zach got the nod over him at Swindon in 2019 Shanes was shabbily treated end of.
  8. I am not convinced with this side, looks to many ifs/but's in it but i believe Fricke can really kick on again and Lidsey is a talent.Bjerre for Cookie? not for me Cookie all day long Worrall and Dan are the key can they both comeback from injury i hope so.
  9. Great to have James on board and i have to say i am well chuffed with our side for 2019.James / Zach can surprise a few James is a rider who excites with his never say die approach and Zach is a rider i really like it should be an exciting season Doyley also to push for the WC again.
  10. In heats 13/15 we are going to be mightily strong David i feel can do a job how many points do we expect 4 or 5 ?? in a tough top five position. The reserves it is going to be difficult if it was say Zach and maybe Brennan ( unlikely he impressed me) at home we would cope away a different ball game.Whoever it is the reserve position is going to be difficult to fill really happy with the side though Wolves are the only side at the moment that worry me.
  11. Did he ride in the pairs meeting Foamfence with Julian Parr ???that version of Lee was awesome his performance reminded me of his brilliant Longtrack title performance the flying hairpin.
  12. Simmo also was a legend a class act but i cant remember to many riders blowing Carter away like Lee did the last three months in 83 Lee was back on it the rest is history.
  13. Can you remember the 83 version? beat Carter 4 -0 in the helmet also beat Erik i know the longevity was not there but at his best i have not seen to many better than him at Poole..
  14. No Michael Lee in the seven very strange.
  15. Shanes was treated shabbily at Poole and there is a rider there who can improve his average. He also is an exciting rider to watch be great to see him join the Robins.
  16. Be great if your club took him he would come on a bundle he can average 5 plus in the Championship no problem just needs a bit of luck.
  17. Is James Shanes to high? he would be my choice we cant fit them in now but Jordan Stewart and Josh Pickering would be two riders i would of liked to look at.
  18. I think Thorssell has to stay Wolves need to make there home track a fortress again.Considering his nasty injury i felt Jacob had a reasonable year and will improve again in 2019 the side assembled so far will take some beating at home.
  19. I think being at Berwick / or Brum and doing NL would be the way to go for Leon, plenty of rides plenty of experience. If Berwick do what Worky did with Bickley( which was refreshing) give him a run no pressure he will progress i hope so as he is a talented lad.
  20. But Brummie Bacon ended up with a worse injury than Hume that is speedway you need some luck.Hume has ability yes you are right if he has another season of injury woes then yes you would be concerned..
  21. I think he would do ok is he a million miles behind Kemp? KInsley ,Lawlor,Bickley (etc)all getting chances those sort of riders he could. beat. But Brummie i can see where you are coming from there is no rush i just think he is thinking type of rider and Brum as a club and a track will help his development.
  22. Now Eastie have moved up cant see Brennan doing NL so he maybe could do the Prem.To be honest it is to early for him but he looks really promising just hope the Robins dont have a wagging bottom end tale again.
  23. I dont know what the rules are but i think Drew Kemp said he cannot ride championship and the Prem.??Does that rule out young Brennan ?? maybe getting a prolonged run for the Robins he was mighty impressive but would he have the set up and kit to do two leagues.?
  24. With Adam added a terrific top four well pleased with that the other three spots are going to mighty difficult to fill.
  25. All Swindon fans on here are decent people,we dont always agree but everyone wants what is best for the club. You come on here spouting absolute drivel cant you go on another club's thread.??
