Most friendly, approachable, modest riders

I have Barry's autograph Robbie when he rode for King's Lynn, Anders Michanek was the hardest autograph to get in my memory i remember asking him when he was walking the track and he said after the meeting Anders did oblige later. -

I think he has total faith/ respect in Martin Dugard and he looks like a rider who listen's and he learns. He reminds me of Martin ( a huge fan of him) as a rider and i can remember when Martin learned so much off of Hans Nielsen at Oxford he then went on and had a great career Brennan a prem rider within three years.?? -

Really like Brennan he is level headed and he certainly will be a prem rider in the future.See him at Swindon twice and in a few junior meetings and he looks a longterm prospect.Maybe along the line like the Kennett's Dugard, (ect) a move to a bigger track will further his career would love to think that Brennan/ Rowe might both ride for Swindon in the future. -
I would like to think Anders will be in the Swindon side in about 2/3 three years time.I have followed his progress since first seeing him on the mini Swindon track and i believe technically he is a very good rider.I want all the young Brits to push on and we are getting some numbers through now which is great.

Fay Taylour the greatest woman rider.

John a great man and sadly missed a terrific historian of the sport.Reading a book that John wrote got me hooked on the great Tom Farndon and i believe the history of our sport should be cherished. -
Chuffed for Rowe arnieg being a Swindon asset i want him to progress how did he do.? Be great if Gary May sticks with Atkins/ Rowe all season it will be worth it longterm.Workington showed that with young Bickley a bit of faith in someone works glad Kyle has started this year well onwards and upwards for him.
-
Totally agree Les the team has started well and i believe we can get better as the season goes along. The positive thing for me is we have lost two close away matches and came away with a point that augurs well for the future.

Do you see either of them averaging 7.2 come the end of the season.??? but you are right they are both talented anough. -
I put Lampart in the position like a Wells at Belle Vue a real tough ask in the top five and with our reserves Dawid will be there all season. So 4/5 points most weeks will do me actually at home he has done ok fingers crossed i suppose.
-
Lampart i believe can do his bit 4/5 points most meeting's we need Zach to kick on i believe in him and longterm he will be a great asset to have.

But in the return Bagpuss i believe the Stars will be found wanting at the Abbey with to much pressure heaped on Robert. As much as i like both Jorgensen and Riss neither are second headers not yet anyway and i see the season for the Stars petering out unless a change is made. -
Maybe it is me Matt but the reserves look pretty strong, we see that with Heeps/ Allen certainly stronger than in recent years.
-
I dont think you could make a change after 2 home meeting's that would be pretty harsh. Also the reserves this year are all able and even if Tom came in i would not expect many points from him.
-
I am quite looking forward to this meeting on Monday night and it should be a very competitive meeting. The new season at the Abbey has seen some good racing on the new circuit and it has certainly made me more enthusiastic about going everyweek.Peterborough are quite hard to weigh up and they have to be respected Andersen/ Tungate are key for them if they are going to keep it close. They have a really experienced duo at reserve and that could be vital but hopefully Zach has turned the corner for me the Robins to win by 10 pts or more.
-
Also Matt because of a average rule was Drew Kemp stopped riding Prem as well this year.? Would Bacon maybe get a reduction because he is a Brit.?
-
Bacon last year probably was the most improved rider in the Country he had a great year.Really impressed on his visit to the Abbey last year and is a very decent gater.Brennan also who i would love Swindon to have an option on him in the future he was impressive unfortunately he wont do three leagues. My take is i would like Alun to stick with James as long as possible and let him ride through this tough time for how long who knows.?
-
Thommo, /Dag Lovaas were my favourite two Hawks and i probably visited Hackney about 10 times over the years. What i liked about it was it made Friday a special night set me up for my visit to the Abbey the next night.Have to say i did witness some great racing there and i can't remember coming home with many victories. My last visit there was in maybe 87/88? against Reading in the Galvin/ Simmo days miss those make it a date Friday at 8 days.
-
You are a fool, if our reserves along with Lampard pick up points we will be ok.Allen last night was outstanding and Heeps has also been pretty good all year ( he was impressive at Swindon).Reserves won't win you meeting's all year because they swap.Swindon if there heat leaders score even at a minimum we will get an away point Rosco will monitor thing's if we need a change.
-
Spot on if you can keep picking up points on the road that will put put us in great stead for the rest of the season.Hope we stick with our reserves for as long as possible because if they can start picking up say 8 points between them that will make a huge difference. How long will Alun wait? his record of giving rider's his backing is well known and he will not press the panick button.
-
I really enjoyed the meeting and i believe the track will improve as time goes on.Doyley his pass later on in the meeting on bend two was breathtaking great stuff.Lampart/Heeps were the riders that shone for me Heeps was impressive aggressive and looked an entirely different rider who lost to Jack Smith last year.Harris rolled back the the years and Ipswich really surprised me later on young Wirtzfield looks a proper prospect for the Isle of Wight he has a bright future.
-
Came away quite happy in the end a decent night's racing and touch wood it will improve. The track seemed really smooth and Doyley in heat 1 was majestic no mistakes riding just like he was in a armchair.Poole i must say look to have a decent side and i would love Kurtz to kick on this year a real classy rider who needs to just add consistency to his game.Swindon i am worrried at reserve but let's give them time Lampart only scored two but they were two fine passes to collect them and he was very unlucky to be excluded in one race looking forward to Ipswich now.

Just been reading up on the Irish lady rider who rode from the 1920s onwards Fay Taylour she seemed a real star.Mixing it with the men and being a box office attraction when visiting different venues .Anybody got any more information about her be great to hear about it.

Unlike Per Sorensen who was a revelation Hans helped put 1.5 on Per's average. -

Sigalos was a rider i took to right from the start i remember him scoring a 15 point max from reserve at Swindon. He got better and progressed to world level and when he went to Wolves you could argue he was reaching his peak.Wolves a few riders I enjoyed watching were Rob Phetzing and Schwartz ( a great rider and awesome team man,) .
