  1. I enjoyed the meeting, Ipswich put in a great effort they have really applied themselves well.Acef if the management had put the 10 pound offer on do you recon the crowd would be between 15/1600?? Swindon whoe's crowds hold up pretty well, would struggle to get a good crowd on TV night's without offers. An exception would maybe be only Poole TV meeting's should be ten pound's also then the diehard supporter is rewarded
  2. Nobody has moaned about the GP series just saying it might need freshening up a bit.I would also say the old system was not the best but at least more riders had a shot at trying to fulfill there dreams that is not the case now.And what annoys me is that league racing certainly in the U.K was aloud to take the brunt of the series and over the years have not been compensated in monetary terms.
  3. So are you telling me that Muller was not a world class speedway rider? when asked Mauger, Briggs,Collins( ect) they all say different were they all wrong.?
  4. And he showed in 1983 on the day even in his own back yard that he could deal with pressure and win a World Final. For many rider's now that opportunity will never be there and as others have pointed out there are six/eight riders who will never win a series .None of us are saying the series is in a bad way it could be in danger of going stale and needs freshening up.Also is Muller qualifying for all those world finals all those years ago any different to some of these mediocre Countries we have in Football World cup's and average sides in European Now.?
  5. Crap post Egon Muller would he have ever been in a top ever 16 to show us just how good he was.? Have you a short memory even Tai was lucky to be handed another chance in the series after his maiden effort and yes Robert has earned his chance on merit.
  6. Stick at it Zach there is a good rider in there hope he comes back even stronger.
  7. It is called a closed shop Bagpuss,i have said this for years Lambert has done great and he looks really at home in this environment he has had two great rounds.
  8. For the future it is great to see Anders Rowe progressing by the week 17 points scored today.
  9. Laguta would be a great pull as a wild card be great to see but we all know it will never happen.
  10. Really great to see Laguta back at his best a class act, would love to see him join his brother in the series at some stage.
  11. The results yesterday for me was not important but yesterday was another kick in the teeth for speedway in the U.K.I didn't go to Poole but the track there has been a disgrace for along time also Swindon last night i have to say it looked dangerous to ride. Both club's need to address there problems otherwise even some of the diehards will drift away and never comeback on a regular basis. At Swindon the racing did improve later on and there was a couple of half decent races maybe if they could have a behind closed doors practice that would help bed the track down again.Jensen what a amazing performance he gave everything attacked the track and got his just rewards also i believe he will score useful points on some of the away tracks as well.Jensen is a rider who has been mentioned on the forum in some people's team planning i remember Gavan mentioning him as a potential Ipswich signing not going overboard but he looks a real bonus of a signing.Poole even without Kurtz look really solid Holder looked classy and all in all happy that Swindon collected a point over the two meeting's looking at it realistically Poole missed a huge trick yesterday.
  12. Great stuff i am so glad Chris feels like that, it would be great if he could don his leathers again and have a few laps around the place he helped create. The track now would of suited Chris down to the ground he is one of the best riders that i have ever seen who could come from the back a real racer nobody in front of him was ever safe his move on Carter in the 1983 NLRC was awesome.
  13. Totally agree Mort should be applauded he was treated terribly and i would love to see him back involved in speedway again a great guy to.
  14. But he was decent for Rye House in 2017, and scored paid six that year he made fine progress before he was shafted. This track now will suit him more and he is a decent gater look i am under no illusions it is a tough ask but he can score points welcome Ellis.
  15. Did Rowe have a really good home meeting in the challenge against Poole ? great to see the lad progressing nicely.
  16. I would have a one off final back like a shot, the series for me is not the be all and end all i much prefer league racing..The one thing that never really changes with the series it is still a relatively closed shop.
  17. Pickering has talent and he will be picked up by someone.
  18. I will stick with it Gustix ,some of the rules now in place are very puzzling.Bugger worrying about these trivial rules lets try to get British speedway back on track with the entertainment aspect being the number one priority.
  19. God why do all these rules exist?? Pickering would of been my choice but i beleive he is to high.
  20. Speedway is the only sport that i know in which the supporter / customer is not aloud to have a view and be entitled to moan. Why are some people in denial ? my club have had endless problems over the past few years certainly on the entertainment front.Thing's are still not perfect but i can see the club have listened and are really trying and i believe most of our fans know that and respect it.There are other club's that seem tobe immune to criticism and are just going on doing it there way or no way a dangerous game to play. There are now alot of the older reliable fan who love the sport now having there patience stretched to the limit dangerous times for our sport.
  21. Did you not realise the top five were not available at Belle Vue? a stupid post not thought out at all.Yes we are struggling at reserve but the encouraging thing for me was we only scored two from reserve last night and we had no Tobiasz but we still scored 41 pts. This against a strong Belle Vue side that is improving week on week and with Bewley getting more race fitness and maybe a potential change of Wells, Belle Vue will be in the mix come the end of the season .So as a Swindon fan i won't be panicking just jet.
