  1. If we can win our next four home meeting's preferably taking maximum points we are back in the hunt.As Orion said we are one rider short of being the best team in the league get a fit anough Tobi/ Stefan back and we will be fine.
  2. With or without the holes? a cheap option a patched up job maybe it shows that Matt's heart is not in it anymore and he is hanging on in there out of loyalty. In my opinion Swindon's racetrack is above Poole's now and week on week it is getting better and more consistent.Hand on heart two or three years ago i never would of said that, you just dig holes for yourself in total denial all you had to say was there were some issues to deal with.None of the fans on the forum want Poole to be a poor track we all know when it is at it's best just how good it can be.
  3. Smart, Watson were great value after that Puk came along enjoyed the Premier League period.
  4. Last season tell boy Swindon's track came under real scrutiny, there was the Leicester postponement Vaculiv got injured. On that occasion the weather was the main factor but a few weeks later we had huge problems on bend four Nick Morris fell three weeks on the trot in the same place. Our management recognised something had to be done and that led to them changing the shape of the track before the season started. This cost them money and we actually had to postpone the first meeting of the season look the place is still not perfect now but the racing has improved so much the track is getting better by the week.Poole on the other hand need to bite the bullet and rectify the problem straight away the track has looked dangerous at times and Shovlar by saying what he has about it is in complete denial.
  5. Fixed when in 1989 ??? all you want is a winning side you could not care less about the entertainment element.
  6. Can you remember that long ago ?? i doubt you can remember what you did yesterday.Dont take the mickey out of this track you have by far the worst track in the league no more big meeting's should be coming Poole's way anytime soon.
  7. Pleased with a point after a battling performance, we now have, four home meeting's coming up quickly so we can push on.We can win all those matches that point tonight could be vital come the end of the season.Hopefully get Tobi back and resolve that number seven position all is not lost season still alive.
  8. I went through out the eightie's and when Scott Autrey got the track record there and won a car that is when i believe the track was at his best. From now on the challenge is for the management is to get the track back to a exceptable level.
  9. I actually like the club, i have great memories of going to Wimbourne Rd over the years the first time in 1974 v Exeter ( the Ivan show) and i want them to get that racetrack back to its former glories.
  10. I dont think Gavan does slag Poole off at every opportunity he feels like me you mainly do Poole speedway an injustice. You dont show the true spirit of the club, you put yourself forward as the spokesman of the club and by doing that you show Poole in a bad light.
  11. I dont believe that for a minute!!! if it is true that must be the reason you post so much crap.
  12. Did you forget what Auty averaged last year at home? this year he has not been quite at that level but is still averaging 9 plus.Away he has been poor a lack of meetings have not helped his gating has always been his Achilles heel.I wonder if he could try to get someone in to help in that department would that help who knows.
  13. I can see nothing more than a home win, we need to start turning thing's around away from home.I just cant see it happening for us i so hope i am wrong and i will be listening with interest to the radio commentary we might sneak a point.
  14. Steve and Scott came to Britain together at the same time. You would think they were total opposites, Scott...the humble quiet polite guy, Steve...the arrogant, loud aggressive guy. But Steve off of the track was actually very quiet, polite and well mannered.Competition brought out the worst in him, I saw it first hand! I met Steve once and what a nice guy he was very quiet not like his reputation at all.As a rider he was very tough indeed took no prisoners i do remember when poor old Steve took the blame at Reading when clearly Milan Spinka caused carnage which caused Tony Briggs to crash.Steve and Barry Briggs had a right old ding dong over that the crowd loved it though all part and parcel of speedway then.
  15. Why ?? if I moved Swindon win draw, lose would always be my team god in my lifetime Swindon have had some crap sides.Lisa.With Steve yes maybe have Poole as his second team but surely your roots means something ??? maybe not.!!!!
  16. I remember Poole being also rans well before your time Iisa , when you support a club should that not be for life.?
  17. Shoveller must be Stevie Wonder in disguise to miss seeing that hole.
  18. He had a little knock on the head i believe, that is why he stopped supporting Swindon and changed clubs i wonder if he supported Poole when they were bottom of the league??
  19. I heard there was a hole big anough to fit a football in DOG,i am sure they will sort it soon maybe Shovel s.. can supervise the work.!!!! The Abbey tonight was decent Doyle even with a GP on the horizon put everything on the line a stunning ride in heat 15.
  20. Mr Green where were you tonight??? there was some great racing at the Abbey were you to busy with your left hand to attend!!! god what a weirdo you are .!!!!
  21. It is not obvious to me IF we get in the playoffs Poole would be the team i would pick they are the weakest in my opinion. After seeing Ipswich tonight cant see Poole beating them over two legs either.
  22. Ipswich were great tonight disciplined frustrating filled the minor places the Budgies god they hardly made a gate all night.Kennett was great value and Pieszcek was awesome showing us just what he is capable of.I remember the u21 round at king's Lynn the other year and he was class he was class tonight. The ride from Doyley in heat 15 was top drawer stuff have to say i am worried now need to get Musielak back???? and get an astute reserve to replace Stefan it won't be easy chuffed to just win tonight,
  23. Was there a incentive where kids could watch on the centre green for a couple of quid?? A great idea i Know Barry Bishop at the IOW has done something similar taken some of the away fans on to there centre green.
  24. Ayres is one of the bright lights of British speeedway a guy who would of fitted in perfectly in yesteryear.
