Surely you're not saying that you are unhappy with Doyley's contribution are you.?? Comparing era's is difficult and yes Leigh was a legend a great rider we have been blessed with Legends over the years.Swindon's top ever 7 must read ( no order) Briggs, Crump, Ashby, Adams Kilb, Broady, Doyley. -

Over two legs we will be very hard to beat I think if we have no injuries we could win the double you do also need some luck along the way. -

I do sometimes think some of us forget that the entertainment factor should be the most important thing in speedway. -

This is a meeting where i havent a clue which Swindon turns up my heart tells me a close home win mainly because of Puk.On the other hand Swindon could turn up and do a demoltion job as a betting prospect it is pretty difficult.. -

Totally agree with you on Doyley, you build your team around him i do think when Doyley had his 2018 year at Somerset that was all down to finance.I like the top five team build, then all you are hoping to do is find a gem to put at reserve.Rasmus now has really give us a nice 2020 team building headache to who we keep for our 2020 team for me Doyley/ Perks would be my fist declared. -
With the season nearly over in November there has to be discussion and changes will it happen though.? I am not hopeful to be honest i hope i am wrong the three thing's i would like to see happen are. 1./ at least 10 teams in the Premiership ( pref 12) 2./ Premiership and Championship teams to have at least one young Brit at reserve. 3/.Riders to have one average only including bonus points not a rolling average changing only at the last day of every month any thoughts.!!

Except Michael Lee in the Golden Helmet 1983 both great riders Kenny superb at Hyde Rd. -
Terry it was the Kestrels from 1984/90? they will always be the Hawks to me i loved my odd don't be late Friday at 8 visit do you remember Ashby winning the Superama.?
-
I would imagine Scunny have a gentleman's agreement with him i can see Jordan being in an aces racejacket in the future and riding the NSS everyweek will help him to devolop. As a rider he looks to have a lovely riding style he is technically good and comes across terrific with the media a down to earth lad fingers crossed for him.
-
I also remember when Dag qualified for the 1974 World Final via the tough European Final round. I remember him falling in one race, and i have the picture of him after the race with blood all over his face.
-
I never saw Ole as a ogre, he had the spat with Hans over Erik and in hindsight that should of never happened. He was a great rider a real class act who for me is certainly in the top 10 riders of all-time.
-
Why did he not adapt to White City Steve? that always puzzled me a terrific rider.. I remember him getting a 15 point max in the Mike Keen benefit meeting in horrendous conditions. The Reading trio of Michanek, Lovaas, Curtis, was not bad eh. Steve !!!
-
How many beat Ole around Monmore not many? Wilson/Briggs/ Mauger were amongst a small group who beat him the odd time.
-
Yes in 1988 when they were the Kestrels changed names ( 1984- 90) they won the league. I remember Mark as a mascot and he made his debut in 1987 in the British League for the Kestrels.

Totally agree saw young Palin at Swindon the other month with the promising Thompson twins and others and the entertainment level was superb.Would love a few of these young uns to breakthrough and have good speedway careers. The Aces have young Bickley making his way are Palin/Bailey both Aces assets? or does Palin belong to Scunny.?
