  1. Thursday 03rd of October Swindon home leg, annoying another gap between 19th September and the 3rd October.
  2. We have scored 44 and 42 in two visits to Monmore this year and our form at home has been very good recently so it is all to play for.Warranted our top five will have to be on it but we are capable of a comfortable home win.Clutching at straws i know but i am hoping Douglas does not improve on his monmore form but yes there reserves look powerful and have a huge edge in that department.
  3. I think we can edge it over two legs if we can keep it to a 6 point defeat away damage limitation. At the Abbey Thorssell, Howarth, Morris, Becker all have to be on there A game for them to beat us also the Robins have riders who can score well at Monmore a 50/50 tie in my book.
  4. The thing that will interest me is to see if Douglas can master Monmore he has not done that so far.He along with Jensen have been the signing's of the season and there is more to come from Douglas.
  5. Mauger, Fundin, Nielsen, Briggs, for me would be in front of him Steve.
  6. I was worried about Doyley struggling with a set up he looked frustrated and he looked like he was over riding to stay on the pace.Rasser was awesome again Adam was terrific to win away from home with Tobi Struggling and the reserves getting only two between them was some consolation.
  7. But for one extra point really!!!! you have to look at the bigger picture we will be judged on our semi final performance nothing else.
  8. A fine line Lisa , Poole should get it but i felt Doyley was pretty hairy tonight we need him in one piece i am happy with the three points.
  9. If someone had got injured chasing a point then Rossiter would of been caned for it . Batchelor was lucky early on to get away with his get off and Doyley couldn't quite get the set up so we need those two for the playoffs.Jensen was our best rider and Adam was very good i was chuffed with three points and all our riders come away in one piece well done Ryan Douglas awesome.
  10. A core of Fricke, Bewley, Bjerre, Lidsey looks mighty good for 2020 acef plenty of optimism for your fans next season.
  11. Get to the final and that is not a given, which means more revenue for the club Wolves will be tough but i think we can beat them over 2 legs.
  12. I hope Wells comes back in for the play offs but i believe his season is over.
  13. Gilks, Palin are two that cannot be far away from championship level Palin in next year from the start. It is a jump but both can hold there own both riders very stylish Palin reminds a little like a young Joe Screen technically gifted.
  14. I have not got a clue Dog which version of the Robins will turn up tonight we are flakey.Over two legs i am reasonably confident of beating anyone but away from home we are vulnerable.Another worry of mine is Rasmus has to have a blip at home sometime he has been that immense and he has made us a real power at home with his point scoring.
  15. For me this is the most important meeting so far this season this could turn out to be a real banana skin for the Robins. With Douglas at reserve this could be really close be great to get top spot and i would personally pick Poole in the semi.
  16. In the top 6 certainly but Ivan was the man with Ove second.
  17. They are in the seven and both are greats your opinion is valid .But to say Crump was a journeyman is not correct agree totally DC2 crash was a great rider a pleasure to have seen him ride.
  18. So are you telling me Phil was not a legend? you missed the Crump Swindon years so how can you compare. To call him a journeyman was just laughable and as for Bob you need to take a chill pill he had to go to Exeter/Oxford that was out of his control.Because of those spells away from his beloved Swindon it still did not spoil Kilb's legacy and he will fondly be remembered for ever.
  19. Thirty pounds for coach, entrance, programme, great value a great gesture. It will be great to get loads of the Aces fans travelling down for the return leg on there last visit to the Abbey they brought a fair few.
  20. You put a smiley in the bottom right and it shows me DC2 that you don't really know what you are on about!! .To speak to any fan since 1975 and say Crump.(snr) was only a journeyman is laughable.
  21. Phil Crump a journeyman really ?????? he carried weak Swindon teams at times and was a great team man you odviously did not see much of him.
  22. It is great that people have different opinions and like yourself i was fortunate anough to see all those riders on a regular basis.Admittedly i only saw Briggs from the end of his career 68/69 as his time was the late 50s up until 1969.Ashby was one of my heroes he was a class act and if anything he underachieved but hand on heart i have to put Phil Crump in front of him just.Doyle is from the modern era and usually i don't always look favourable on that time but he has achieved the pinnacle of being crowned world champion therefore that puts him in front of Adams.
  23. Adams was a real class act awesome style we see him everyweek but i knew Jason Crump was better.Weird really Crump had the whole package and he won three titles in a era where Ricko ( not a fan nothing personal) was awesome.Adams was class and to watch him everyweek was a treat myself my top three Budgies as it stands are Briggs, Crump,(snr) Doyle.
