Swindon Robins 2020
Sidney the robin replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
For me this years side has youth on its side plenty of longterm potential in the team and it should improve as the season goes along. -
Likewise at Swindon we could be vulnerable away, i see Perks improving though and his average should go up.Jordan i really like looks like a real racer but to average five in a top five is a tough ask he might swap with Ellis Perks as the season goes along.

Championship stats tell a different story Steve and dont forget Todd was released at Somerset.!!!All about opinion's and we shall see if the Sheffield reserves contribute anough home and away.

Belle Vue Aces 2020
Sidney the robin replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think Charles Wright is a seriously underated rider and he will be a great signing for the Aces.Bewley is a real talent and for me for him to realise his full potential he needs to stay with the Aces ie) in all of his Premiership career.Last year he bounced back after horrific injuries and was just getting back into the swing of thing's again.I saw him ride against Swindon in the cup final and when the NSS dried out a bit and created new lines Dan was unbelievable.Belle Vue with a core of Kurtz, Bewley, Wright, Lidsey to build around look to have exciting times around the corner. -

They have not always made changes Acef ?? last year people forget Musielak had a bad injury( and came back to early). We got in Bellego for a short term to cover and Lampard was replaced only because we were getting problems with his polish club. This year on the face of it we look a lot weaker with Perks,Stewart,Rowe but for me for this side to work the top four have to be on it most weeks the other three have to improve as the season goes along and contribute but as you say there is scope for a change. -
At times in certain meeting's this year Hume has looked quicker than Perks and I have seen alot of Perks at Swindon. This year Danyon has come through unscathed injury wise and is now a true no 1 at national league level. There are a few riders i could name who have Championship places who are not as good as Hume and Stoneman is one of them..I like Nathan but Hume is a better rider and it will be interesting to see how thing's pan out.

King's Lynn Stars 2020
Sidney the robin replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I can remember Terry riding in the 1989 Briggo German legends meeting and in one ride giving Penhall a real race .He still looked quick and smooth a great rider and a great embassador for our sport. -

He can easily get back to his 2018 form you are lucky you have him to see everyweek i never tire of watching Robert ride a real talent. -
Not fascinated with Auty just feel Sheffield who have a nice looking side and that is great news for the league could of got stronger reserves ( ie Pickering as an example.
-
Totally agree Auty would out score Kurtz also he can battle from the back away from home Kurtz/ Morris look weak.At Swindon we look vulnerable down the bottom end of the team but i think Perks/Rowe/ Stewart can hold there own against the calibre of rider that Kurtz/Morris are.

I feel it is a great opportunity for Kurtz to kick on this year he will be very exciting to watch. He will have alot more confidence in his home track this year and even if he wont quite match Max points wise should up his game.Kurtz, Bewley, Lidsey, Etheridge?? are a youthful lot adding Kildemand to the mix it looks an exciting team so far and you should be pushing again for a play/off spot. -
Great point and you are not always a weirdo Cookie.!!!!

He had to lose Musielak Ace who is a class act and it annoys me that we have had to do that.Your club never planned for Max to miss the season why?? personally i love watching Fricke rate him and would love him to get a top 8 but surely you should of planned without him?. -
Great stuff Bobbath no problem Steve has alot more sense than me , he is a really nice guy / top bloke.Speedy was a character along with Chris Julian, Jimmy Squibb, Jimmy ,Gooch real speedway people the unsung heroes all four were all tough not to be messed with.

The opposite in my view, both sides i believe will be good at home away like this year Swindon worst scenario can score 42 points and at least get a bonus point.Sheffield away i think could be vulnerable certainly at reserve and i don't see them having the same no 6/7 all season .Wolves also will have a team like they always do, IF they could get Pawlicki they would be the side to beat also they have a fresh look with Douglas,Becker,Nicol, who will be longterm improvers. -

Pleased that Adam has been confirmed he is capable of putting a point on his average. What i like about the side is there is a balance, there are established riders and riders with potential to improve as the season goes along. -

We won the title get over it what is wrong with you? you are constantly criticising our management and yourself coming up with sides that would not win an egg cup.If you don't like the side go and watch another team simple's you are becoming boring with your negativity. You did not want Batch back did not want Anders,Rasser, or Stewart unreal to be honest your biggest coup would be WELLS in a top five.!!!!! -

No certainly not you did odviously, i don't think you will find many people on the forum that would take a punt on him in a top five.Myself I don't even think he would be a senior reserve now his time has gone at that level. -
Yes Split did cycle speedway then in 1959 went to the Rye House training track.

There were other tracks looking at Jordan and i am very surprised no one has taken on Josh Pickering as yet, as both are at the same stage of there career.I think your theory is correct coombdog not to go on figures Stewart is still learning and has started the Aussie season well can't wait to see him put a Robins race jacket on. -
Barry Bishop is a breath of fresh air and he clearly has something to offer our sport in some capacity high up.Barry and Lee Kilby are two individual's who i hope have a big influence in a way of taking our sport forward at every level in the future, will it happen who knows.?

He reminds me of Douglas really Mark, as he is still learning his craft and improving also he is still very young. His win over Smektala at Belle Vue in the team event shows how exciting he is and Stewart,Kemp,Gilmore all showed me something that night. -

You are going by averages rather than ability, my take on building a side is having a side that can get you 48/50 points everyweek if not then 42 pts and collect the bonus point. The nice thing about this side is you have,Adam? Ellis,Anders, Jordan who can all improve and can still play a part in our future as well.
