Do you think a Lockdown for the over 70s only for a period Witcher could of been an option? .All resources kept for that age group and go from there one of my friends Rod who was 75 on April 2nd said he has to go out for a walk.He is crawling the walls he knows he is vulnerable but feels WEAKER by not having his usual regular exercise as you said the virus breeds inside confined spaces.

Yes Witcher Leigh and Crumpie snr) have so much in common they both could of won a Worrld championship.Leigh probably more so but Jason often got in the way.Leigh was a class act i took him for granted really but because i was a Crump ( jnr) fan never really took to him like Briggs, Ashby, Crump ( snr) ( etc).Going back to Wolves in Sam, both Karlsson brothers, Freddie, Tai, Pawlicki( briefly) and to a lesser exstent Jacob the club has had some real great club men. -

Both the brothers were classy, i preferred Mr Max, but PK was some rider really skilful probably the better rider .Pk was capable but can always remember that Max at his best could beat Leigh Adams at the Abbey not many could do that. -

Swindon Steve was great , get there for 6. O'clock get your prize target Mauger, Olsen, Michanek, Betts, Wilson ( etc). The riders then it was a different era only certain foreign commitments then so mostly they stayed for the second half.Only got Hasse once Steve to sign did not see alot of him at all couple of times for the cheetahs and Sweden the one year there was a while when they operated R/R. -

With only 800 people that would mean the old cheap side would be virtually empty.Last year at the Abbey the old cheap side bend two was filled quite nicely at times and is probably the best view to be had at the stadium now. -

So important Witcher this happening it has stayed with me forever and Lee Kilby is pushing and trying very hard to get kids involved at Swindon. It is heartwarming when you see the young uns looking at the bikes beforehand in awe this has to be maintained. -

Were you there '???? Matt barring in mind out of the average gate i gave 1000/1,300 at least 200 don't pay .Your prediction of 800 with 200 non payers how on earth could Swindon afford to operate.?? -

There was between 250/ 400 at the disastrous junior/National league challenge fixture Matt when 500 was the figure bandied about to break even.Maybe DORIS / ORLOV can give there opinion's they are both very good at predicting attendances.I stick to an average crowd of between 1000/1,300. -

Matt do you wear glasses? are you telling me Swindon only get 750 supporters no way.I would say worst scenario the average last year was between 1000/1,300.On some of the bigger meeting's Poole, Play offs, and when we had great weather up between 1,6/ 1800 and maybe even more for the play offs. -

When Adams rode do you think we consistently got over 2000 supporters for every home meeting? hazard a guess. -

Alot of the problems we have in the UK speedway wise,90 per cent of the time is of our own doing. As much as it would be great to have the stars back for me it is to risky a proposition. Also we should now stop pandering to the Poles/Swedes / Gp series and get all our race nights back and run on the night's /Bank Holidays or whatever days we want to run.In our league now we only have Doyle, Iversen,Lambert who would be missed so let's start again !!!! the riders i named also how long will they keep committing to the UK.??? Speedway can still be exciting whatever level the product is , also if you had seven available race days/nights you could work around the kids and schooldays. That is the market that you were talking about Matt that is the area i would aim at Kids how many parents don't go and miss meetings on a school night.? -

A reason why your notion of bringing back the big stars is a risky one it is completely the wrong time to implement it. -

Is a 1000 plus spread out sensibly any different to being in Sainsbury's on a weekend life has to go on eventually. -

I think promoters need to know what crowds they are getting first.None of us really know , even at Swindon last year you were never really sure what the crowd would be. -

Matt if Swindon say on a good day get a crowd of say 1,5/800 is that crowd anough to pay the likes of Woffinden the extra revenue. Also you might have two other big earners in the meeting as well, also you have strongly maintained the crowds have dwindled sufficiently in the last few years yet you believe we could afford to pay the bigger earners.A way of paying for the bigger earners is that the supporters go to less meetings and spread there meetings around therefore ensuring each club get better crowds. -

I cannot see the clubs being able to balance the books with all the stars back City.Someone like Woffinden would not put anough extra on the gate to cover his wages.I would rather have say 2/3 regular meetings a month with an inferior product but clubs running there club within there longterm means.Your point is great City and i would be for it IF the clubs had the SKY revenue coming in but that has long gone. -

Would you rather have less meetings but see a better quality of rider secsy1 ?? or more meetings with the quality lower. -
The best three meeting's i saw at White City were White City v Swindon 1977 - 1982 Penhall (scandal meeting!!!) 1983 Incontinental Final .And the best couple of meeting's i saw at Cowley had to be Oxford v Supporters select 1978 ( Shields outstanding ) and Carter's miraculous effort in the British semi final.
