The stench will stay with me for ever ER,that memory will stay with me. Saying that the wall behind those bogs saved me a fortune over the years never paid for years. The club got my entrance money back in other ways though spent LOADS on memorabilia. -

Briggo reaching finals from 1954/70 was some achievement missed out on the Ole win in 71,but comeback and for me would of won the final in 72. -

Malc Holloway Never Forgotten.

Remember three meetings in Malc,s career that really stick out for me qualifying at Birmingham in the WCSF with 11 points getting to the BF in 82. Scoring a 12 point maximum v Sheffield beating a brilliant Shawn Moran twice then a meeting for Reading in the mid eighties at the Abbey. In the meeting Malc had been poor scored three from reserve in heat 13 there was a tape exclusion he came in he gated like a long dog (Kilby style) 😀😀and beat Crump/Petersen/Shirra? typical Malc he could gate. -

Him and his dad were a great partnership, to think he was capable of mixing it and beating the likes of Olsen Mauger Briggo ((ect) at the age of 16/17 is unreal really. -

Why would i want to watch Poole with riders missing madness winning is not everything not to me anyway. If we beat Poole with Buzz/Hans in the side great otherwise Swindon speedway,s responsibility is to try to entertain the public. And hopefully they will be rewarded with a 1800/2000 crowd fair play to Rosco on this he wants to win this match more than anyone but he sees the bigger picture.

Pleased for Belle Vue fans that they have a track to be proud of.Looks very good given time it will be even better more big meetings on the horizon for this track.Fair play to Chris/Co for making it happen Mort was a big favourite of mine as a rider and is easy to talk to now as a promoter. And he gives fans the time of day chuffed for him and the diehard Belle Vue fans. -

Spot on Swindon won because Morris got 9 Sedgy/Josh 6 each and Stef 6 also take in to consideration Bomber scored alot less than Doyley would of got. -

I totally agree "Fromafar" he had seven real seasons only 1976/83 reached six World Finals a fourth place in 77, two rostrum places a winner in 80.Also he won a long track title which at that time was a massive achievement, all in all his career was a massive disappointment to me personally. It annoys me because in 1983 he had reinvented his career and would of been a big player for more titles in the next five/six years. -

The first time i ever saw Michael Lee was in the Silver Plume at Swindon he scored ten points ( think he was 16? ) very impressive when he reached stardom my first thought was that he was a gater. Then i realised he was decent from the back a racer when things were right, when you think to be a in/out no1 in the old NL aged 16 averaged over 9 points some going that .In 1975 he averaged over 9 for Boston and 7.43 for King,s Lynn, the next year for King,s Lynn full time he averaged 9.43 .Carter is the only Brit that comes near to him in my view, and again he was good very good Tai now has has taken over his era and i am a supporter of him to. -

Think Mike Lee was in a different league, saying that you didn't see Mike did you.I really rated Joe what a talent he was and all in all he had a great career.
